Hey man what do you feel the need to bump this 10 times a day, and even go in other threads to plug your poll? What's the point?
I am interested in what people have to say about these games. It's already a crap shoot when you see new posts as to if they're going to have substance or not. It's a bit worse when half the posts are you trying to artificially attract people to the thread.

Interesting view….but awareness is what voter promotion is all about.
Quoted from JohnnyHomeBrew:Vote changed. What a horrible video reveal by American Pinball.
The video changed your vote? What about the real part….what’s on the PF?

"Artificially" attracting people? Wtf.
Nothing wrong with spreading the word to increase the vote. He's not telling people which game to vote for.
The poll was started before PF was revealed and it's narrowed the gap ever since. Probably not gonna surpass FF, but an impressive showing nonetheless.
And other games have had reveals that may cause some votes to switch now.
I think a lot of people may not have voted or even know about the poll.
FF (I’m in first run prem) but GTF would be my second. Like PF, but not for that price unless I play it and it blows me away. I would not buy any of the other games for over $5k.

High prices seems to be the goal for most these manufacturers, so they don’t leave a dime on the table, lol,

The playfield looks good...but I'd be skipping the video clips every single time...so what's the point? PF for me.

PF is a good looking machine too.
Quoted from McDoom:I'm in for a Foo but I'm voting God Father.[quoted image]
Interesting, why buy one and not vote support for it too, as best machine?
You obviously think that or you would have spent your hard earned dollars on GF?
Quoted from Thunderbird:Interesting, why buy one and not vote support for it too, as best machine?
Because both are winners.

Well now you got me curious did you buy both or is the price tag on the godfather just to much to justify? Assuming all things equal you would've bought that game instead?? I have a pro Foo and a BMF Pulp coming, and then I changed my vote to Pulp, almost giving me buyers' remorse on Foo. I'm so excited for it!

You’re excitement is like waiting for Christmas, because it won’t be until Christmas or there after you’ll see one.
Quoted from Thunderbird:You’re excitement is like waiting for Christmas, because it won’t be until Christmas or there after you’ll see one.
Well I'm hoping to see one next weekend at MGC but as far as getting my game I doubt it will be Christmas unless you mean 2024. I'm ok with that. Think of how amazing the price is going to look by then when ppl are buying tanks with porno clip acting for 17k right now! Talk about value!

Wonder if that 17,5k is real in that, are people really going to buy at that price just for a 3D backglass with lunchbox and thermos? Lol or is it just a bit of “tank” and mirrors to get people to think the 500 LEs for 11k now look very cheap???

Yeah it's absolutely ridiculous! I mean the Pulp LE is priced almost the same as the lowest Tank model! Talk about market trends these games are gona go in opposite directions. I don't understand why would you try to follow JJPs non-starter format?!?

All these 8 machines are way overpriced. Only decent value is a Stern Pro at $7K.
I really wanted to like GTF, but that video was off putting. I’m saving my judgement til I play all the new games at MGC next weekend. Looking forward to the reviews from TPF this weekend as well.
Am I the only one expecting an unlicensed theme to have more competitive pricing ?
Seems to me all the savings on license fees are just being pocketed by the manufacturer.

[biased opinion]
Final Resistance at $11700 is also buying you a platform for past and future machines. By itself, it's $3400. So yes -- getting in with the platform is a big investment, but if you buy it with Weird Al, that's $15200 for two machines, plus others available for less than $3500 and more coming this year and next.
Once you're in for a P3, the prices are incredibly low for what is there.
[end biased opinion]
See you all in Texas, say hi and make sure you get to play everything! It's a great time to be a pinball player.

Maybe all the license fees are offset by economies of scale.
Quoted from Apollo18:Am I the only one expecting an unlicensed theme to have more competitive pricing ?
DUH! The money they saved went the "actors" of course.

This is my biggest complaint really. I don't see anything in this that justifies the price. I understand the whole cost of scale thing, but Spooky manages to keep the costs down even with licenses. There should have been savings here. I do not see anything in this game so far that tells me there's a huge BOM, or anything that different than other games, other than the whole tank thing, which...it does nothing. It can't have added that much to the cost. I thought at the least it would move back and forth. (referring to the backer, no the pf toy....that's another letdown really. I thought there'd be more to it).
Until I see gameplay...I don't have a final opinion, but with each passing day I'm less interested because they continue to not show enough to justify what they are asking for it.
Quoted from Thunderbird:Interesting, why buy one and not vote support for it too, as best machine?

Because the poll should've allow more than one pin to vote on.

Collect your participation award somewhere else the poll clearly states "best"

With you on these points. Price is a feature and the most important feature, especially on an original IP that has no licensing costs associated with it.
To gain traction, GTF needed to be the best value for money of all 8 games, except FR, which is in a different realm because ownership of the platform is required for entrance. It appears AP may have not really thought through the price, being one of its key features. Priced like it is, few might not take a chance on an original IP, just like Houdini, OF, and LOV before it. Resale on original IPs are not so good unless there are tons of mechs/toys/nostalgia in the game, but even then, take a good look at Dialed In.

You’re absolutely correct, we are only looking to find out what people feel is the best game amongst the 8 new offerings.

So that’s where some money’s going?

Licensing is an interesting business all by itself.
Hahahaha guess again!

All I know is all of those games are likely better then Bond. Had a chance to play a Bond LE on location yesterday and wow, just wow what a bummer. Some of the worst animations in modern pinball, Stern should be embarrassed. The vibrating rocket toy? Yeah, weird. The entire left side of the game feels open and empty in a very odd way. The two ramps squashed together on the right with some stickers isn't appealing either, same goes for the lackluster artwork.

I think APs strategy is to try and grab as much money as possible off of fewer machines. They are leaving the door open for a "classic edition" to be built later on with less features. I think they are in trouble as it is.

I agree 100% but some people defend it to heaven. It’s either they truly like it or they have something like Stockholm syndrome where they bought the game and so convince themselves it’s better than it actually is.
Also I’m not saying it can’t get better because even TWD or BM66 got significantly better but if the assets are hard to work with and if it’s Lonnie on the code I’m not sure.
To those that are unhappy with the price of Galactic Tank Force, for *whatever* reason, ...me too.
But I'm also unhappy with the price of Stern, JJP, Spooky, CGC, et all. - So pick your poison.
And speaking of our poison, I've arrived at Texas Pinball Festival to put my hands on all of these games.
My final vote in this poll is yet to come.

Can’t wait to hear your report from your experience at TPF and want to know your final vote.

...Yep. (sigh)
I do think the code will come around eventually, and, um, at least the right side of the playfield is fun.
