How much have you spent on your hobby? What is your game room worth today? Do not include value of pins you have owned and sold, since you've taken your money back on those.

What is sitting in your game room TODAY. You can include renovations, furniture, decor, related expenses.

For international people, use US $ equivalent.

I've never had another hobby before, other than my businesses. This is my first real hobby, and only one at the moment. I've gone hog wild though.

    Quoted from o-din:

Who keeps track? Or, why bother.

I track everything on an excel spreadsheet, same place I track my net worth. I know what I've spent on pinball, what it's worth today, and also my sunk costs... money not coming back to me (renovations to my game room, decor pieces that aren't worth anything on resale).

I have no desire to make money off my pinball hobby, but I like to know what I've spent, and since I've boom & busted a few times in my life, what I'd get for it if I busted again (not planning on it, but I've lived it).

For the spirit of this poll, I would include parts. Money spent on this hobby. Valuing appreciation in pins is fine too.

In my case I lose money on each pin because I'm a nib buyer but that is part of my hobby cost and I'm cool with that.

Well, this isn't an IRS audit. . Ballpark numbers are fine.

    Quoted from CaptainNeo:

i'd count it. You spent it. Just because you lost it, doesn't mean anything. Chalk it up to a game you lost money on.

I'd count it as well. "Money spent on pinball".
