Just curious what the distribution looks like among Pinside members.

    #2 11 years ago

5 for me down here in south Louisiana.

    #3 11 years ago

2-3 but always rotating every couple months

    #4 11 years ago

    20 here...wish I had room for more.

    #5 11 years ago

There are some people on here that own zero. What about them?

Yeah, i had "0" but it dropped off when I posted for some reason. :-/. Maybe the mods can add a "none" option???

    #7 11 years ago

Had 4 just 2 months ago. Got tired of constantly working on them and never getting to enjoy them. Now, with just TFTC, I play more than I repair/tinker.

    Life is good .

    #8 11 years ago

NewPinOwner, what happens when TFTC breaks down? Then you have zero...

When you have 3 or 4 or more, you can at least play one of the working ones

    #9 11 years ago

I have 5, but I always felt like ten was a nice round number for a collection.

    #10 11 years ago

I thought it would be nice to have 10 too... until I got them. Now, I honestly don't know how many I have total. Somewhere North of 40 though. Of course, since more than half probably don't have DMDs, it's probably not that impressive to a lot of you

    #12 11 years ago

18: headed North would be my guess.

    #13 11 years ago

Im on the low end of 4 right now...

    #14 11 years ago

Right now 3 and a virtual pin.
However I have owned over 100 different pins.

I dont mind that - it's when 2-3 of them are down. That got old really fast.

    #16 11 years ago

One with WOZ ECLE on order. I plan to keep my LOTR when WOZ arrives.

    I'm impressed

    #18 11 years ago

5 including Pinbot, Surf Champ, CFTBL, Shadow, and Junkyard

    Quoted from Pin_Crazed:

    I'm impressed []

    Heh, thanks

A lot of older games are really cool, but people don't like to give them a chance. I'm okay with that though, it means they are cheaper for me!

    #20 11 years ago

    3 EM's
    8 SS
    5 AN
    16 DMD

I went ahead and did 3-4 even though 2 are at my parents house and my 2nd in waiting is Predator. Glad to see I'm in more common company than I thought. It always seems like everyone has a ton except me.

Me too... Love these pins from the 80's. Many are true gems. Still plenty I never played. Last one I discovered was Defender and its beautiful-but-disturbing Taito brazilian clone, Mr. Evil. Wish I could see one in France!

    #30 11 years ago

I have 11 left in my collection after owning 33.
    Black Rose
    Bram Stoker's Dracula

I have games in 4 different locations right now. I've never seen all my games in one spot. Hopefully soon I will.

Well, cool. I'm a little surprised because no one talks about them here.

4 Square (an EM) is one of my top five machines of all time. I've got a bunch of weird 80s machines that I think are really cool too -- Special Force, Black Belt, Mr. & Ms. Pac-Man and Cybernaut come to mind as some of the most interesting from that era. I also really like 70s shooter games like Sharpshooter (staring at Roger is funny too) and Countdown. Orbitor 1 is just weird but also great.

To me, a lot of the DMD era games feel very same-y to me, and when you have weird stuff that they do like the "video" mode on Mr & Ms Pac-Man (only decent video mode EVER), the upside-down ramp / flipper on Black Belt and so on... it just feels even more creative.

Co-own Pinbot with a friend. THis is a sore subject for me; if I'd gotten into buying pins 10 years ago, I would have been able to buy at least a few nice ones. But the combination of runaway price inflation on pinball and the crappy economy keeps me on the sidelines of this hobby. Damn frustrating.

    #34 11 years ago

Wow, 66% own five or more pins.

I was in that group about 4 years ago :-/

Now just own one. But a very, very special one

    #35 11 years ago

9 and out of room and getting harder and harder to give up some of my current games to bring in new ones

    #36 11 years ago

Zero. I play routed only machines.

    #37 11 years ago

13 pins +Predator on the way, 4 vids, 1 pachislo slot.

    48-in-1 Classics Multicade

4 right now.........on my way to 6 by the first of the year. After that they will have to go to friends or relatives houses.

    #39 11 years ago

    #40 11 years ago

You're missing an option in your multiple choices..... "not enough".

    #41 11 years ago

I only have room for 9, so I have 12.

    #42 11 years ago

I have room for 10 so I have 11 and one on order.

    #43 11 years ago

Sure. My trouble is that I love them all, from EMs to the latest pins, and that I have limited space. I am currently looking for a Dancing Lady (1966), Fathom and Black Hole (1981) and Predator (2012...). I would not rate any kind above the rest. Different moods? Always find a pin that will fit... I am not tempted right now to buy most of the latest DMD simply because I can easily find them on location and play AC/DC with friends!

    Right there with ya Dan!!

Hubby keeps saying we need to get down to around 20-25 but I just can't even begin to choose what I would get rid of and what I would keep!!!

Temporarily, 6. But 5 is all I "really" have room for. So it will stay about 5 for the forseeable future. Just hope to keep working my way up to a nicer and nicer collection of 5.

I only have room for 8

Four currently. Plan to top out at either 8 or 10...just need the manufacturers to keep making good games.
