Quoted from lllvjr:

Addams family will never get remade... Christopher Lloyd does not give out his likeness. Which is why the last Addams movie was animated and fester looked nothing like him...Addams family is a no go don’t even bother hoping

He gives his likeness to BTTF pinball, the BTTF animated series, to the latest BTTF video game...

...so I‘m pretty sure he‘s willing to SELL the rights to his likeness.

In addition:
That isn‘t Christopher Lloyd‘s character an the playfield anyway. It‘s his cousin Lester!

Quoted from Pinchild:

Anything but Theater would be nice.

Quoted from Edster:

And when it finally came out it was like WTF is that???

I actually liked the first level or so until it became a riddle solving jump‘n run.

Quoted from Doctor6:

I heard a rumor that they're taking their sweet fucking time. Anyone care to substantiate this?

I still wish them luck that MMR finally comes to market.

#1125 3 years ago
Quoted from rai:

IMO just build more MM royals.

Or LE, or SE, ANY MMRs!!!

Srsly, has any retailer them readily available? No?
SO THERE'S DEMAND FOR IT! GO GO GO!!!

Quoted from transprtr4u:

Sorry ... agree with iconic mechs from the 90's but need help with what iconic mechs from Stern lately?

Read Zachs sentence again.

"iconic pinball mechanisms from the 1990's"

COMMA (indicating new or additional info following)

"recent and continued work at Stern Pinball"

Edit: Besides that I think Elvira is nice mechanically.

Quoted from LTG:

Their act is together. Just taking way longer than anyone hoped.
LTG : )

Is it? Why not produce some games?

Used MM still sell over MMR NIB prices, since they're totally sold out and never really were "in stock" for a reasonable amount of time in the first place. - At least over here.

#1336 3 years ago
Quoted from mbeardsley:

Yeah, the last set of MMr-SE machines sold out immediately. I tried to get one but was out-of-luck.

Why are the SE "limited" in the first place, when there's still demand?

Quoted from djsolzs:

CGC is asleep at the wheel. Figure it out. People are literally begging you to announce a release.

I'd be happy if they'd only produce what they have (MMR).

Right now for me (!) I think this is even more horrible then Deeproot. Because we know CGC could deliver... they just don't... and they're playing dead. Gimme SOME livesign please!

#1364 2 years ago
Quoted from LuxZ:

Does anyone know what has been running on their manufacturing lines in the meantime? Surely they can't afford to keep their factories idle. MB has been out of stock for the most part at european distributors.

Dildos.

C‘mon CGC proof me wrong!

Wow, a MMR LE (nib) just popped up for sale nearby, for a whooping 17000$.
I wish someone would remake this game.

#1399 2 years ago
Quoted from LTG:

I'd go with both.
Nothing official from any manufacturer until they announce it.
LTG : )

I know I‘m a broken record, but why not build games long being announced?

#1404 2 years ago
Quoted from LTG:

Maybe because we've seen in the past that a long delay after a game is announced before it is shipped, can really hurt it.
LTG : )

I was talking about Medival Madness.

(Saving my moneyz at the moment for a new pin and if MMR was available that‘d be a pretty save bet.)

At this point I'm wondering who'll be first, Chicago Gaming or Deeproot.

#1523 2 years ago
Quoted from Chetrico:

Are there any NIB CGC machines hiding anywhere?

yes

Quoted from ClassicHornet:

I just held off on buying Halloween in the useless hope of hearing something from CGC bloody sooon !

Well it‘s only 18 months till Spookys next title so there will be a new Spooky game until CGC‘s release...

#1670 2 years ago
Quoted from Indusguys:

Whenever they release their next game it will sell out in no time.

And they‘re not even (all) limited.

I just can‘t get how you can release a machine and then just stop, for multiple months/ years.

How soon is "soon" on a scale of 1 to 10, if "1" is beeing "never" and "10" being aboutish "The year 2666".

#1927 2 years ago
Quoted from acedanger:

PinballFX got the license to recreate TAF digitally it's using the same ROM/assets.

It wasn't Pinball FX, and no they didn't (completely).

Quoted from Concretehardt:

Ok just saw that K man posted this on Facebook.. How freakin cool would this be![quoted image]

Cool maybe but not too practical, when a part of the game is even above the backbox. XD

Next year or in 12021 years?

#2183 2 years ago

When I got into pinball THIS was the pin I wanted!

Never got one and now know why most people hate it, but finally played one in good condition and it was way better than expected.

Gottlieb at least had a good idea there with Mario and Street Fighter…

#2239 2 years ago
Quoted from snakesnsparklers:

The CGC architecture is different yes, but it's still emulating the original operating system and code. You would never be able to do the additional CGC features like RGB GI or big color DMD, but the code should run on an original machine when burned to an eprom.

If they really use the old code this time in emulation, AND changes are not made inside the emulation itself but they alter the original ROM, then it would at least be technically possible, yes.

#2254 2 years ago
Quoted from Bublehead:

If their code COULD run on OG equipment, and only after they stop selling the remake, that's the only time they could possibly consider it IMO. But then I don't think their code CAN run on OG so it's a moot point.

We'll see how they do it this time (if it's more work to redo everything from scratch or having the original source code and add to the original ROM) but if it's technically possible (there's more hurdles involved, since if they alter the ROM they don't have necessarily follow hardware restrictions) and they won't sell it I guess we'd see a hacked Rom-Dump sooner or later.

"Selling" the ROM standalone is... well... they'd sell ONE, and then a lot of us would happily copy it, I guess.

#2295 2 years ago
Quoted from Oscope:

I forgot to mention that more MMr machines will be produced in the near future EXCEPT for the Royal Edition for which NO more will ever be made[quoted image]

I'll never get why they full stop production inbetween titles but MMR being back on the line is my personal highlight!

In other terms: Is that still Windows 7?

#2299 2 years ago
Quoted from pinnyheadhead:

2023 on MMr though. So good news for patient people. Why……..is……making……..pinball…….so……….slooooow…….?

WTF?!? Is this just speculation or did they actually say that?!

#2324 2 years ago

All in all… I‘m happy.

If I don‘t have the money for a MMR in 2023 I don‘t deserve to get one.
