If the delay is attributable to finalizing code, then I'm beginning to appreciate the "finished code!?!? we don't need no f'ing finished code" approach of Stern.
...or CC original.
....but they gotta eventually finish it!

Quoted from acedanger:Yup. They're pissed because they can't sell MB for 15k because you can buy one for half now & IMO better than OG... dimples shimples... all pins dimple. If you don't want dimples simply don't play it
Yeah, but with the exception of a few HEP's, I bet most owners of the originals (MM, MB, and AFM) were only into their pins for a few grand before the remakes came out. Now I think there are a lot more recent purchasers of CC's, BBB's, AF's, TZ's, IJ's, TOTAN's, CV's, an even TOM's that already have more into their machines for what the remakes will sell for. Weren't CC's demanding >$15k recently due to their rarity?
So it's one thing to not have profited as much by selling your machine as you could have, but it's another thing to lose $1k's when you sell. (actually, I don't think there's much difference at all...but I bet most people do and would be more pissed by the latter).
Quoted from Concretehardt:Ok just saw that K man posted this on Facebook.. How freakin cool would this be![quoted image]
Pretty damn cool!
Quoted from pinballaddicted:Spooky nailed it. Why not?
Rule sets are supposedly identical on the two Spooky's, so basically they released one 'game' with two different art packages and asset sets. No idea...but guessing this only took ~20% extra man hours at most vs one game. With this approach, they were probably moreso broadening the appeal of the game rather than competing with themself.
For CGC, I don't see any upside to releasing two completely different games simultaneously. How would they not be competing against themselves? ... Unless there's so much pent up demand that they want to take advantage of a hot market before it cools.
Give a man some fire and he’ll be warm for the rest of the day. Set a man on fire and he’ll be warm for the rest of his life.
No chance CGC would give away the code update to old machines even if possible. They might sell it, though.
Remember that CGC is the company that provides a color lcd on their standard editions but ‘locks’ the colorization files unless you pay the $400 (or whatever the price is). It would ‘cost’ CGC nothing more for me to have colorization on my standard AFM with the existing hardware …but just because there’s no additional cost to them doesn’t mean they should give it away free!
