Show is already set up. Unless CGC brings in game this Morning it's not going to be there.

Any announcement of any title at this point would be welcomed. But it is no longer a question of WHAT title is upcoming. Cactus Canyon re-make has been confirmed by FOUR distributors I have spoken to, one in person when I picked up my G & R machine. It has always been Cactus Canyon and it nearly was that title before Monster Bash was settled on.

Yes, TOM, BB and TOTAN are surely upcoming and perhaps even PTC based on what our most reliable and passionate contributor has suggested. And TAF is gaining momentum for down the line consideration based on consumer demand, and unlike TZ it wouldn't be prohibitive to make.

The title is no longer a secret, though CGC has done their best to conceal the title for marketing reasons.

The ONLY question now is WHEN will it be announced. (for the record CC is the machine I also WANT to see above all others).

???? they haven't brought a thing to market. if it is CCR then what's the hold up as this title was to be released before the covid fiasco! other companies building non remakes are out producing CGC, hope they release something before DeepRoot does!

I suspect CGC is making plenty of $$ on their other product lines. Perhaps even so much money that the complicated to make pinballs are taking a back seat.

No. Pinball is in the front seat.

Planning for the future takes time. And behind the scenes stuff won't be known until CGC is ready.

I know instant gratification is nice. Some things take time. Some things are well worth waiting for.

Best guess is they didn't want to announce anything until they were ready to sell it.

Choice is announce something and miss all delivery targets (this form of planning is utilized by many in pinball and the video game industry) versus announce when ready to take money and ship games. Given the choice between the two I respect the latter much more.

Reason for delay? There are so many possibilities to speculate on:

10. Licensor approval?
9. Supply issues?
8. Software development issues?
7. Industrial accidents related to the creation of an 80" LCD screen for the ULTRA LE version (for those that demand the DMD be bigger than the playfield!)
6. Factory labor issues?
5. Serious food poisoning in the employee cafeteria several weeks in a row?
4. Several bad playfields that they decided to re-do versus just sell in the games?
3. COVID anyone?
2. Corporate employees at CGC find these circular speculation threads hilarious and don't want the fun to end?

AND THE NUMBER ONE REASON FOR THE CGC DELAY IS:

1. LTG's passionate hunger strike demanding PTC finally convinced them of the error in their ways... only to have him switch to some other unknown title (EFL?) which is resulting in serious confusion amongst the development team. People are quitting as a result.

Not that they would ask but I wonder how many NR deposits of 1K they could get on a TAFR in an effort for the public to illustrate how many of us really want this regardless of how many are still out there. I imagine it would be a decent amount, I know they'd get mine.

The shadow seems like a reference to Twilight Zone. Would also make since with the trademark information earlier and the first widebody pin (more to come perhaps)?

Quoted from Cheberha:

The trademark info is intriguing since it was specific to pinball but as another user pointed out it could be a renewal to keep up on any of the electronic pinball versions they license to. The game isn't out for PinballFX right? They have been slowly releasing / licensing more of the classic Bally/Williams titles.

Still - if TZr was announced (very wishful thinking) I would be day 1 order on that.

No.

I'm excited about what the manufacturers all have out now. And games coming in the future.

The next half year to a year is going to be some exciting times for pinball.
