Quoted from 1967Firebird:The distributor I go with said in an email hopefully soon. I wish I knew what that meant and it is possible they don’t know and are hoping as well.
yep, thats the word on the street, end of the month ?

My friend called CGC and actually got Doug on the phone last week, he was very tight lipped.. he just said they are working hard and something would be coming soon.
Quoted from Concretehardt:he just said they are working hard and something would be coming soon.
Sounds like you might be surprised with whatever that something is...
Quoted from zr11990:They may look the same but they are not. The boards are different and the way the electronics are set up is different. Let one of those massive boards take a shit and see what that costs. The remakes feel more like a Stern than a W/B, not that Sterns are bad. I would much rather have a old W/B than a redo. That is my opinion, yours may vary.
Having both original and a remake LE. The old one is preferred.
Quoted from whthrs166:Sounds like you might be surprised with whatever that something is...
If it’s BBBr I’m screwed because it would be an insta buy! but I would have to sell something to be able to buy it.. difficult choices would have to be made!
Quoted from Concretehardt:difficult choices would have to be made!
Ok , will help you out and take the Big L. off your hands

Don't worry. It's nor BBBr.
Quoted from Zablon:I've only ever played the virtual of it, but I like it.
You are only 4 hours away from me.
LTG : )
The only instant buy we have agreed on between the wife and I is on the "not ever bloody likely" list... so let it be TAFGrLE or nothing. Big Grail pin of my wife's and all. I got MBrLE as my grail, so she is due hers. But a TOMrLE with a Beautiful topper sculp of Magic Girl would be HARD to resist

Same here, I said I wouldn't buy another remake after my experience, but if they came out with a BBBr I would be all over that.
Quoted from ClassicHornet:Get all your Ducks in a row, it’s coming !
It has been for 6-18 months....

+1 for BBBr. I was collecting when B/W games could be had for a lot less, but I have never had a chance to get a cheap BBB. I also have no affinity for Capcom flipper feel, so they don't need to be a perfect copy.

What was your experience?
Quoted from Richard-NBA-SF2:That’s what I heard.
Maybe I am missed it, but I don't see them listed in the vendor space?

Im getting more pumped every day about CCr and excited to see what level that CGC can bring the game to.
I was looking through photos and had a concern about one on my favorite details of the game and I sincerely hope the pistols remain,
I hope that there is no anti gun rubbish going to affect making this classic true to original.
I wish CGC well and can only imagine how many hoops that they must jump through to make these classic titles.
Footnote,
is Matt Coriale still in the scene ?
He sure was involved with design in some real gems .

It should be fine!

You can’t say you had a bad experience and not say what the experience was. Don’t leave us hanging man!
Quoted from RA77:is Matt Coriale still in the scene ?
No. After WMS shut down he went to Lexmark.
Quoted from BallyKISS1978:You can’t say you had a bad experience and not say what the experience was. Don’t leave us hanging man!
This is not the thread for that. To me the build quality didn't live up to the hype and I will leave it at that. For me I'd rather have an original.

For me the build quality on the three re-makes blows away the technologically far inferior originals. To each his own though, whatever floats your boat.
It's been too long since I've played any OG's to know for sure, but the difference between the remake flippers and Bally/Williams flippers is pretty apparent based on the games I have on hand. Other than that, I've had zero quality issues with mine.
Quoted from BallyKISS1978:You can’t say you had a bad experience and not say what the experience was. Don’t leave us hanging man!
There's more in the MBr owner's thread, but to sum it up, dimples. I am also a MBrLE dimple veteran. They are not deep but they are definitely more than plentiful... the playfield quality is awesome for color, registration, trapping, No ghosting and was smooth as glass when just out of nib but not for very long after that.
Quoted from RA77:I sincerely hope the pistols on the apron remain.
Little known fact: if you remove the two half-pistols and screw them together you can load and fire .38 special cartridges.
I sooo want the next game to be a total surprise like "Punchy the clown", imagine all the fuzz and outcry from all the CCr/TOMr/TitleXr fanboys that would bring forth here
Quoted from Lhyrgoif:I sooo want the next game to be a total surprise like "Punchy the clown",
would like to see this made just for #LTG

I pretty much preferenced that it was not for me. I am glad that you are happy with your purchases. That's great, it really is. I am glad that these were made and allowed folks the opportunity to own one of these amazing titles. Had it not been for the remakes I never would have been able to purchase an MM and MB and later an MBr.
Again, for the money, I would rather have an original. I didn't see enough difference in the tech, but I did in the materials used from the metals to the wood. That is what is important to me, as the quality of materials is directly related to the longevity of the machine. We all have different expectations, needs and wants and it's all ok.
If they drop a BBBr, they will have my money in a heartbeat.

Excellent reponse. I am 66 now so "longevity" isn't a matter that concerns me, even if I still want to leave my five kids a great collection (six machines at present). What matters to me most is pristine presentation, advanced lighting, more vibrant colors, art and state of the art dot matrix, not to mention interactive gorgeous topper exclusive to the re-makes and sublime rails. I have owned all of the originals of those titles and maintained them for over a decade. I have not found anything in the originals superceeding the re-makes, so based on all my stated preferences for me CGC wins over B/W by a landslide.
But I do absolutely understand and respect your position.

I love all of the remakes, but frankly preferred my original MMs and AFM over them. I've owned all of the remakes. MBr does seem like an improvement over the original imo, but that will be argued forever. They are all great. CGC is just using the same tools of Williams, same silkscreened playfields, same company, Churchill, building cabinets, with the implementation of newer technology. This is basically what Williams would have done if they were still around.
The prior 10-15 posts all included people expressing their opinion... their reasons for the opinion and the people also show great respect for everyone that has a slightly different opinion for their own reasons. This is exactly what internet forums should be. We all (myself included on occasion) should strive to be like this at all times.
The above completely aside - you are all COMPLETELY WRONG about the next game. As I mentioned earlier we are GUARANTEED an Addams Family remake because I just found an original after waiting and hoping CGC would release this game.
I would be surprised if Addams would ever be one simply because of it actually being a licensed theme and the added cost to do that. Same with any other licensed theme.

Hahahaha I know that feeling. I would assume licensing for something

Exactly! I am not sure how they pulled MBr off with Universal, but licesning would be the big issue for TAF
Quoted from nerdygrrl:I am not sure how they pulled MBr off with Universal,
One license. Not many.

Agreed for the reason above (I was just making a joke about Addams...)
Quoted from brainmegaphone:Agreed for the reason above (I was just making a joke about Addams...)
So it would be much harder/more expensive to get the Addams licence vs the Universal Monsters?
Quoted from Richard-NBA-SF2:So it would be much harder/more expensive to get the Addams licence vs the Universal Monsters?
With Addams they used the movie actors and actresses likenesses, so they often have the rights to approve or turn down projects. With universal it was just their intellectual property.

Ok, makes sense!
Quoted from Nepi23:They've got to be remaking TZ this time. That would explain the delay - not the simplest pin and licensing negotiations.
Not sure... would be a surprise for sure tho!
Quoted from acedanger:My prediction for release this Oct. will be CCC & TOTAN.
I hope you are correct, I would be in on both.
