I'm very sorry if I violated a posting policy for this. Wasn't sure where to post it.

If anyone is on the fence about adding an external sub. JUST DO IT!!!!!! Worth every damn penny.

    #10 7 years ago

Buy 'em up folks. You won't find a better deal than this.

    #11 7 years ago

Ordered. Thanks for the link Finman. Still not sure if saving $35 is worth having UPS in my driveway...but I like to live on the edge.

    #12 7 years ago

Bam. Thanks for the heads up. If you go to their site there is no discount. Thanks for sendind the discounted address.

    #13 7 years ago

Been wanting to add a sub to my TZ but I have no experience with this. Are there instructions anywhere on how to hook this up?

Super simple, dude. You'll need a piece of speaker wiring maybe 2 feet long (2 feet to give yourself some slack in case you need to move the sub). Get two alligator clips to clip the speaker wiring to the tabs in the cabinet speaker located at the bottom middle of the cabinet. To get the other end of the speaker wiring to the sub, you'll have to loosen and remove the cabinet speaker briefly and run the wiring to the sub. Strip the ends of the wiring, and plug them into "Left Speaker Level Input" or "Right Speaker Level Input". Polarity of the wiring shouldn't matter. Boom, you're done.

It's super easy bud. You can alligator clip speaker wire onto the sub terminals in your cabinet. Then just tun those through the hole in the bottom of the cab and plug into the sub. Takes like 2 minutes.

    #19 7 years ago

Don't be silly Jaybird. Of course I do. But my Mustang and ESP. my Indy 500 want the boom back. Tallica ROCKS !

    #20 7 years ago

What I really need to do is re-visit NPO's thread on tweeter replacement. THEN I'll be rockin !

Thank you, both! Sounds easy enough to me. Order placed! Looking forward to it, this will be my first external sub for a pin!

What are some games this sounds particularly good on? Do you hear a louder lower spectrum overall, or do just the really low bass notes hit the sub?

How about games like TZ T2 Creature, or MM in particular?

    Thanks in advance

    #25 7 years ago

I have a sub hooked up to almost every game I have and it is a huge improvement on all of them. It provides much fuller sound. It's great on TZ and T2.

    #26 7 years ago

TZ, Creature, T2 and MM sound awesome with it. 80.00 shipped well worth the sound enhancement.

However by far BSD is one of the most awesomeness with one.

    #28 7 years ago

Subfoofers are awesome if you live in a place where loud sounds arent a problem. Since the sound is mostly omnidirectional it really is an immersive experience.

    #29 7 years ago

Just bought two, the free ship really makes this a great deal. Thank you for posting

There's also this for a plug n play solution to hook up a external sub to any Wms Bally or stern game. Just pick the correct adapter on the website. Thanks

The PinSub kit mentioned above is awesome. Much cleaner and stronger signal to the sub. I had clips onto the cabinet speaker, and when I made the change to the PinSub it was a noticeable difference!

    #32 7 years ago

Does adding this sub put any extra load on the amp? Or do you need to disable/disconnect the existing cab speaker to add this?

    #33 7 years ago

Thanks for sharing the link, been waiting to pull the trigger on this sub! can't wait

No to both questions, just hook up alligator clips to the posts, sub is externally powered so no extra load

Just an FYI you can hook 2 pins up to each pin

    #39 7 years ago

Bought one as well. Will be shared between the TZ and ST Premium...

    #40 7 years ago

    Thanks for sharing the deal!

For those of you who have this hooked up to 2 pins simultaneously - does it work well and sound good while playing both at the same time? No noticeable interference with the games fighting against each other for the sub?

    #41 7 years ago

Have had mine hooked up to 3 at once and all playing simultaneously. Works great, no noticeable interference and sounds like each one has its own sub. Have it on 2 currently, TSPP and WOZ, and is a big improvement on both. Each pin definitely does not need its own sub and have heard others that have run 5 pins to one of these subs and said it worked great.

    #42 7 years ago

I don't even bother with the alligator clips... just wrap the wire around the posts on the cab speaker. I don't loosen anything either, I usually run the cable out the back, there is a hole somewhere big enough to run the speaker cable out of.

Don't buy a kit for this, waste of money. Just a some speaker cable...

    #43 7 years ago

    Well that was fast

    Deals over.

I ordered earlier, and I just got an email that it's backordered :/ Luckily I'm in no hurry so they will just ship me one at the sale price when they get more in stock.

That's what I used to think when I had mine tied to the cab speaker terminals...until I tried the PinSub kit.
I disagree that it's a waste of money. I can think of lots of other mods more expensive than $35 that are a "waste" of money.
Not knocking the simple, inexpensive route. Just comes down to personal preference, I suppose.

Yeah I thought about doing that and putting it between the two pins underneath but then my ocd kicked in and I flipped out because it wouldn't be centered under the pin. Lol.

Bummer. I ordered at 8:53am EST, and I just got a note at 4:07pm that mine will ship by the end of today.

    When did you order?

    Later,
    EV

P.S. Noticed that you're in Janesville. Wouldn't be a former GM'er by chance? I was assigned to the plant from 2001-2008.....

Ordered two this morning, just got shipping confirmation an hour ago.
