Recently joined the club, and I must say this title is even more fun than I thought. Never played one before, but it always intrigued me because of how similar to TAXI it can be, and that is one my favorite System 11's ever. I'm looking for a translite, and can only find the Glass one through Marco. Almost $300. So that's a no. Anyone out there sell translites for this title? Mine is "ok" but would like a better looking one.

Quoted from Ryguy80:

Welcome to the club! Although I like Taxi a bit more, PF is underrated and under appreciated on Pinside. When set up properly, it’s a tough game to put up big scores. Enjoying mine that I’ve had for about nine months.

Thanks. I like TAXI more as well. But for basically 1/2 the price, I couldn't pass this up. Plus it has new ramps and is overall in pretty good condition

Just a shout out and thanks to fellow pinsider sullivcd40 (Corey) for selling me a new PF translite for a pretty fair price shipped. Looks great, and thanks again..

Been working on a Police Force for my father in law. Have made good progress. Here’s some before and after photos so far (clearly out of order)….. still w ways to go. I’m no HEP but it’ll be a nice player once it’s done.

Looking MUCH better. Nice work. She was dirty. Looks like my EATPM when i got it years ago. But she turned out well when I was done. Probably gonna do a similar topside teardown on my PF. Mine is nowhere near as bad is yours, just needs a little clean up, rubbers and some new posts and ? I've tore down 4 system 11 games over the years, just curious how easy or tough this one was for you?

Quoted from SilverUnicorn:

Thanks. I personally think this one is pretty easy to do. If yours is like mine, ALL the posts will be locktite-d into the T-Nuts and will likely break. I was prepared for this as most of my System 11 machines were like this. The posts are expensive at $5 a piece so just beware.
Of the system 11's I've done, I find this the easiest. Diner was a giant pain in the rear end in my opinion. Had I not needed parts I probably could have gotten this done in probably 2 or 3 days if it were all I worked on. Police Force was definitely easier than Earthshaker, Diner, and Bride of Pinbot (I know, not a System 11 but I still count it, LOL).
Chris

Yeah, this teardown doesn't look too bad. I bought it last fall and it had new ramps, but it's a bit dirty everywhere else. Playable, but. I've done a TAXI, EATPM, Cyclone and a Rollergames. This one looks to be about the easiest. Post some pics when you have yours done

Say, just did a 90% playfield teardown on my PF. Looks so much better by the way, but, my police car will not go back up and reset when the game starts. I noticed a broken wire near the motor. Guessing that's the problem, but not exactly sure where it's suppose to go. Help? Worked just fine since I got the pin

K, still not sure where this yellow wire goes. Now, not only does the police car not move, but I cannot even attempt to lock a ball, even though the lock ball is lit. Just can get P O L I C E letters when hitting the right ramp. Really confused. The car has worked perfectly since I got the game in Oct. One minor teardown and now this. All I disconnected was a couple of switches for the ramp and habitrail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And can someone please post a pic of there PF underside of the area of my pic.

Quoted from GRUMPY:

If the car doesn't work you can't lock balls as you have no way to release them. You have to have two wires on the resistor/motor for the car to work. I don't have a manual in front of me at present but I would assume it goes to the solder joint to the left of the wire in your pic.

On that board, not on the "battery" to the right? I rarely work on these, so just a tad unsure

It goes right here. Just opened mine up and looked to be sure.

Got it. Working fine now. Thanks..
