Quoted from MustangPaul:Only 6 inches of foam, what's the R factor of that?
R-36, but its also air tight, so you don't have losses due to air leakage, or condensation problems with a vapor barrier.

Quoted from ShaunoftheDead:Cant wait to see the epoxy floor go down. Last time, you did it yourself? Also - you going for anything swirly or exotic? Color?
Epoxy flooring is badass!
Quoted from Enaud:Just be sure to use good dry-seasoned wood! You don't want that stop to kick in due to wet wood.
The wood would have to be really wet.
I've had the 5hp Sawstop cab saw since they came out, and have never had had it trip for any reason (not even cutting dew damp wood).
I still have my spare cartridge sitting in the box from day one.
When cutting 1/2" aluminum sheets, you do have to disable the brake, because it's very conductive. Same with Formica covered wood sheets that have the sparkle foil inside them.
With the motor off, you can test any material by looking at the little lights on the front while touching the material to the blade. If the light flashes, the material is too conductive, and you must go into bypass mode.
Best table saw you can run from home power, bar none.
Quoted from radium:Man that's hot.
I didn't know about the mobile base, that looks pretty serious. My buddy is still trying to sway me to a Powermatic but we'll see. Thanks for the info.
I sold my Powermatic to get the Sawstop.
For a $200 difference in price, there is no reason to get the lighter weight Powermatic.
Even without the safety feature, the Sawstop has less vibration when cutting really thick stock - it's simply the better saw.
Do not pay list price for the Sawstop. Go to a real "stationary power tool dealer" (not a Woodcraft or Rockler) and save yourself $500 off of the MAP/internet/Woodcraft prices.
You local dealer will also deliver and set it up for free. Don't discount this service, because that mother fncker weighs well over 500 pounds!
Quoted from Pinball-Wiz:I just want to come over and hang out in that garage while drinking a beer, it's just so damn awesome and manly. Hell, I'll pick up some wood so we can cut some s^&@ too.
Beer and power tools?
Good thing you got the SawStop.
Quoted from PinballMikeD:Yeah, but that's when this comes in handy
