I've had problems with a few. It's pretty common on an older game to have at least one bolt cross threaded. I've only had one game that seemed like the last owner put the bolts in with a lug wrench and stripped them all. Ended up replacing all the plates and bolts.
I've never seen a game that had been set up fall over though.
