I had my Spider-man game for quite a time now and today I registered that two bumper switches were reversed by my previous owner (upper left and upper right) . When I changed them, everything went fine. But when I did a switch test the upper right one hardly registered and the upper left one had a contact all the time. I noticed, when I bend those switches a bit, it took effect on the registering.
I don't know much about bumpers, so I suppose this is a noob question.
How would you bend those switches, maybe there is a trick to it or I do have to do something entirely else.
I greatly appreciate all of your help.

A little adjusting/tweaking and you'll be an expert pop bumper adjuster in no time.

The top leaf blade with the spoon, the spoon part should be centered over the plastic rod coming down from the pop bumper skirt. And just resting on the plastic rod, not pushing it.

The bottom leaf blade should be close enough so the slightest ball hit triggers it, but vibration doesn't.

To bend them, I usually use a point bender or small flat nosed pliers. Bend near the fiberboard spacers they fasten to the bracket.

No longer in production, look for a used one : http://www.kleintools.com/catalog/discontinued-products/6-long-nose-pliers-duck-bill-flat-nose

Clean them first before you adjust. Put a piece of paper between the contacts, gently hold them closed, pull the paper out.

Thanks LTG,

I am going to try that out tomorrow, with that point bender. I've got something like that in the house.
I never had any problems with my Spidy before. This is the first real issue with it.
Tomorrow I am going to post how everything went.
It is around 10-11 pm in Germany now . That was a really exhausting day.

Please do it with the power off.

This seems to be a required caveat with every tech post again these days.

The number one rule continues to be non observed.

Owners please do not break this critical advice.

And you should also be sure to wait a few seconds maybe a minute, before you service the game.
I ran into an issue with the board once. I turned the power off, grabbed into the cabinet and got a shock. I damaged one of those tiny new transitors, that day.
Since then I wait at least half a minute before servicing my games.

Now lets come back to our (solved) issue.
I have bend the switches with the point bender, everything went fine.
It wasn't that easy, but it was worth it (I had to remove them, each time I wanted to bend them).

Now my Spidy has some bumper action I've never seen before. It makes the game feel like a total new game.
