    Dear Pinsiders!

Please take a minute to answer this best pinball backglass art survey!

    http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TBSVP2L

Just looking for what your Top 5 favorite pinball backglasses are.

Not cabinets, not playfields, just backglasses.

Backglass can be either painted "traditional" backglass or "modern" translite.

    Thanks!

    Lee

Please don't reply to this thread... just answer the survey above. You can however... give this post a thumbs up so that more people see it!

    Thanks!

10 have answered the survey so far... have you? Another 10 answer and I'll crunch the numbers...

Well... it's Monday and I only got 13 responses, but they were 13 really good responses!

Attached is the little over Top 50 top Pinball Backglasses.

When I put in my $.02 I added a few beyond my top 5 to round out the list a bit.

    Thanks to everyone who participated.

I'll leave the survey up for a bit. If I get a decent number of additional responses. I'll re-run the numbers.

    Thanks!

I don't understand what the columns represent.

    #6 6 years ago

Seems pretty simple. You voted for 5 so the columns represent where the votes came from in order.

    #7 6 years ago

I must be the only car guy here because to me Nitro Groundshaker is my hands down favorite and it didn't even make the list yet

    #9 6 years ago
    Quoted from callmesteam:

I don't understand what the columns represent.

First column Rank is how "good" the backglass is from best to worst
Second column Row Labels is the name of the pin
Third column (unlabeled) is the year of the pin
Fourth column "1" is how many people voted this pin's backglass as 1 = best.
Fifth column "2" is how many people voted this pin's backglass as 2 = good.
ditto for Sixth "3" and Seventh "4"
Eighth column "5" is how many people voted this pin's backglass as 5 = good, but the least of the 5 voted for.
Ninth column "6" is a column I put in for some backglasses that were not in my personal top 5, but I thought they should probably be listed (so I gave them each a separate "vote" for "6th place").
Tenth column Grand Total is a sum of all votes for that particular pin.

Pins are sorted first by column 10, Grand Total sum of all votes (most popular), then by most 1 votes, most 2 votes, etc.... Then finally by alphabetical in case of a tie.

It is absolutely criminal that EATPM doesn't crack the top ten.

Agree! EATPM's is great. I voted for only 2: EATPM and X-Men Magneto LE

    #14 6 years ago

Also just voted for Paragon as number one .

    And Scared Stiff...

    #16 6 years ago

Strange world, I love it. I really don't think many games past maybe 1985 deserve to be top 10.

    #17 6 years ago

    SM. Silverball Mania. Quintessential.

I thought this was about backglasses and not translights? Though I love TZ and AFM translights they don't compare to backglasses such as Sorcerer and Captain Fantastic.

    #20 6 years ago

AUUUGHH!!! Appreciate all the comments.... but remember the only votes that will be counted are ones on the survey itself here:

I should have been more specific. Any backglass art - whether traditional backglass or translite.

    Just NOT cabinets or playfields.

    Will edit the original post.

    Thanks!

    Up to 55 respondents.

A couple of you are NAUGHTY Pinsiders. Voting the same machine (Paragon) for 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Nobody do that again, or I won't count any of your votes.

Too many more try that stunt... I'm done crunching numbers...

Current results (up to 99 "best" backglasses) attached.

bout' time Scared Stiff is in the Top Ten

    #26 6 years ago

I'm surprised no one (else) voted for Jokerz!. I've always been amused at the backglass where the Queen looks like she's about 17 and the King looks like he's about 73.

Seriously? Where is Big Bang Bar? No other translite even comes close. How about Target Alpha? This is not a best game poll; it is an artwork poll!

    Quoted from John_I:

    it is an artwork poll!

    Yup!

    #30 6 years ago

Pee Wee Herman at number 68? I had to look it up wishing it were true.

    Silverball Mania??

Silverball Mania's backglass art is pretty cool , I'm not surprised that it made the list . But I'm totally shocked that Sorcerer did not make the list .

    #34 6 years ago

Pretty cool , Paul Faris get's number 1 with his Paragon artwork , But Greg Freres Is very well represented in this list 4 games including the one that took second Fathom.

    http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TBSVP2L
