Send barry a message. I was feeling the same way a week or two ago, sent him an email and he got back to me right away and answered my questions. Silence sucks but it's just their way.
I hear your pain, while updates of the road to production / production started / production hiccups / production hiccups overcome / loading onto truck would be really appreciated and good for them as a company IMHO; its not even 1/3 of Q2 yet so theres time.
If DP is gun shy after Phil meltdown fine, but can go look at the heighway thread of how being totally transparent can be done and doesn't blow up in your face. He's opening talking about delays due to QC on some parts and is getting praise for it. Imagine this (and spooky) is going to set the new standard for startups going forward after the two most secretive startups are/have imploded. Stern can be silent cause they are proven.. And no pre orders.

Anyways they seem to be technically sound, so I have little doubt's about the product.. Just had the expectation we'd enter Q2 with production porn.. Which still should come eventually.
And yeah like inhomearcades said, you can email barry and he does respond. Seems like more work for him; I try to keep bugging him down to once every few weeks.

Local newspaper from Aalten did an interview with DP this week. (not published yet) Reporter says, quote: "already 300 machines ordered".

We at Dutch pinball would like to update you on all the cool stuff we've been working on since our last NSN in order to get your Big Lebowski™ pinball on the production line with the upmost speed. A lot of the work and progress in these last weeks have been, however, fairly boring visually, with you know, a lotta ins, a lotta outs, a lotta what-have-yous... We'd love to show you some cool pictures of the progress, but at the moment that would involve showing you lots of pieces of paper and emails connected with ordering materials and parts to build your machine!

The first playfield with final approved artwork!
In addition to the above, we also want to let you know that the following has happened since the last NSN:
Tests on the rugtoy have been concluded and we now have a truely amazing rug that will really tie the playfield together.
With the help of Cointaker we showed one of our prototypes on the Texas Pinball Festival.
We played for hours on our prototypes and solved various issues.
Orders for the parts have been placed, and when we have the bits we can delight you even more with photos of lots of boxes.
Engineering has been finished.
Cabinets are being produced by our sub-supplier and should be with us soon.
The artwork of the playfield has been finalized and it looks awesome!
And... we soon will send you your "Achiever Edition" True Serial Number™."

The official rug is a thing of beauty dude - the pins make the rug! And yes ... (I'll say it before someone else does again) ... the rug makes the room.
Gotta have the official rug with bowling pins. And the photo of the custom power supply was hilarious.
This pin is shaping up to be something very special!

Grateful for that recent email update in light of the dumpster fire that JPOP has become.
That said, any updates from DP along the way are always appreciated by this jittery preorderer!
And it is obviously worth pointing out that DP seems much much much further along than SkitB or JPOP ever were. But doesn't actual production seem to be the tough step?
Not trying to be a Johnson or anything. Just sayin'.

That's from april and was posted somewhere around here at that time. I figured it was a production prototype or the original prototype with the PF stickers.

It really ties the room together.
Word is Stern is going to build the TBLS for DP! but they required a bunch of changes. So no TBLS till next year. I think Gary didn't like the upper playfield, he wants the carpet design simplified and the bowling apparatus swapped for a bowling ball graphic. Also wanted to save money on the music, so they hired some guy to bang out some tunes on his Yamaha keyboard. It's going to be awesome!!

This item from a local tv-station here in The Netherlands, was about how pinball has been a part of my whole life.
The game is one of the 5 prototypes. It was just set up for the shoot. Directly after filming, the game was transported back to DP Headquarters 
I just picture Ozno in the corner of the room sitting while tears run down his cheek crying about how bad he really wants this game in between the bitter posting.

It's true. I've always been clear. If they ever make this game I will get one. Just heard Barry applied for citizenship in Fiji, though, so I wouldn't hold your breath.

Expect that Stern would simply be assembling parts....so they don't make changes.
