Quoted from accidental:This combined with the fact that most people don't realise that there is far more to pinball than just keeping a ball bouncing around a playfield.
This is more true than I realized. This past weekend my best friend from High School (20 years ago) was in the basement with me and he was playing my TZ (not the best thing to start him on) and TAF. I kept telling him what to shoot for and he kept asking "How do you know to do that?"
He even said, "Man, I didn't know there were actually things to DO on a pinball. I thought you just tried to keep from losing the ball." That TOTALLY blew me away.
Maybe its true that some people just "get it" and some don't. Not a dig against those that don't, I just feel like I *always* understood there was more to pinball than just not losing the ball. And of course, the objective of a free game is what I REALLY love about pinball. I still play my machines with the goal of a free game. Wizard mode and Grand Master are great, but I LOVE that WHACK of a free game!
