I’ve searched, but I can’t find a definitive answer on using wax on playfields with protectors installed. I read Vid’s guide (where is he anyway?), but it all got convoluted with arguments for and against so figured I would ask you guys about personal preferences.

When I bought this machine, the guy said he didn’t use wax, but used Novus 1 for general light cleaning, and 2 only when polishing was needed.
The machine blew me away when I saw it and how clean it was, so that was that.

Well, it’s come time for cleaning and last night I used a little bit of wax on the outlanes and ball ramp where the PF protector “isn’t”.
I’m trying to preserve the machine, and I’ve had the whole “you need to wax” thing drilled into my brain.

What does everyone else do?

Do you pull all the ramps and stuff off to get to everything? How often?
