    Hey folks,

I imagine that this number probably varies from place to place in the country, but what do those of you that actually do playfield swaps professionally charge for the following types:

Flat game (early solid state games i.e. Devil's Dare, Playboy, Gorgar and other games with no ramps/tubes)

Ramp game (Any DMD based game or some of the earlier Williams titles (Funhouse, Dr. Dude etc.)

I know that some of the playfield swaps are more difficult than others, but a general price range would be appreciated. Conversely, if some of you have specific pricing for certain games (Demo Man with the 4 billion ramps or TZ with the mini playfield for example) that would be helpful as well.

    Thanks very much!

I've done a few ranging from $500 to $750 for friends...but I won't do any more. To me it simply isn't worth the amount of time you put into one of these especially if you are a nut like me and have to polish everything. I still have 3 or 4 of my own to do...Winter work.

    $1500 for modern games.

    Quoted from vid1900:

Exactly what I was going to say, and what we do charge, but I agree with the other poster that said it is so time consuming it probably isn't profitable for us even at that price....just too much effort and there are always unforeseen challenges that eat up more time than you thought it would. We can make more doing something else with the same time. But, I enjoy it and only take one here and there so it isn't really a money thing. And I don't think it would be worth it to the client to spend more than that either.
