Not sure how different a PF swap is between an 80’s Williams and a 70’s Gottlieb, but here’s a couple pics from my recent swap. I drew a rough sketch of the underside PF components on cardboard and used that to keep all the screws that hold everything down. Then I pulled all the staples, placed the new PF next to the old, and slid everything over a little at a time.

I drew the GI wiring on the cardboard too-in a different color-to help with getting that in the right spot. Restapled the wiring and screwed the components back down.

I’m sure I’m forgetting a bunch of details and I’m not good at taking “in progress” pics, but hope this helps.
