I think totally vertically. This is so gravity is evenly distributed. Do not lean against a wall. I did that with a $100 pool cue years ago and of course it warped in about a year.

My tip still holds true. Do not let gravity work against you .Instead, cancel it out by keeping board vertical. No horiz. or angled gravitational forces will work against you or amplify a potential warpage effect!
