    Quoted from undrdog:

Any reason these wouldn’t work? Too flimsy?

I have a set of these and have used them for 3 years now. Works great. I got a set where the legs are tubes for better stability. Only issue is that it takes a little maneuvering to get the playfield locked in by yourself. oops just saw the amazon link. Not sure on that one as I did not look at the link. My bad

Okay I looked at the link. Yes those look flimsy. Here is what I purchased back in 2018.

Thanks. Not available. My current rotisserie is two straight back chairs with the edge of the pf across the seats, all leaning against the backs. Not elegant, but it works for doing mechanical fixes.

Any tube model would work. Depends on how much you want to spend. I would just tell you to make sure that the clamp is easy to tighten and loosen. If it is just a wing nut, you will fight it more than anything else. Here is a another model that looks promising.

Just make sure you order 2 right away. Hate to order one and not be able to get another mate.

Still have mine. Only complaint is that the legs spread out too much. Makes it a problem in a tight shop with limited floor space. I do like that I can fold them up and store out of the way.
I do like the tabletop roasteries that a pinsider makes. It is nicely built, but it requires a table to sit it on. Again I do not have the additional floor space for a table. PINDOC PLAYFIELD ROTISSERIE

    Quoted from ACDNate:

The Pindoc unit does look really nice but at roughly twice the price of a couple bike stands I'm struggling to justify the cost in my head.
Although it would be nice to be able to solo load a playfield on, don't know if that's possible with the bike stands

It can be done. It does take a little juggling. I normally load and clamp one end, while holding the other. Bring the second bike clamp close and clamp the bottom half. Do it enough times and it gets easy. Another option is to create a hoist system from Harbor Freight items and winch the playfield out of the machine and then lower it to the bike clamps. I had this all planned out but the ceiling in my basement is too low to install the winch. I also saw some hand winch systems for bikes which would also work. I just gave up since I figured out the balancing act.

Will these hold onto the upper and lower aprons without damage or are these just for bare playfields? I’m thinking of getting a set for working on pops and leveling inserts.

The bike set I have will take the playfield with an apron. The jaws have big rubber lips (lack of a better word) and dont scratch the paint. I also do not clamp done too hard. Again this all takes trial and error. They work for me. I will see if I have some pics of it in use.

Well here are some pics of my stands in use. I could not find any pics where I clamped the apron, but I have. Dont normally take pics of the PF from a distance. These are from a EM and a SS game.
