Has the greasy sheen/rainbowing effect been corrected in recent runs? Older, thicker versions never did that but I’ve had to remove recent thinner versions from my operated games due to the weird, light-scattering effect.

@ DANGERTERROR - could you please send a photo to [email protected] ?

Maybe you see actually evaporations of the clear coat. This can occur, but don’t worry.
You can easily “blow” it away with a compressor or carefully (because of the heat) with a hair dryer.
Just lift the protector a bit where possible and blow the evaporations away. If they return, please repeat the process.
Maybe you have to do it several times depending on the clear coat.

Since we were asked... please see some photos (not only schematics) on our instagram page

It’s like a greasy, wet look. It looks like an oily rainbow sheen in brighter light.

I bought one of your protectors for Gottlieb Pinball Pool and love it. However, it seems you have made changes to the ones offered after that one.
I want to buy one for my Williams Black Out but it looks like the flipper feed areas are all cutout vs just the holes for the wire form flipper feed guides. Looking at several other ones from this same time frame and they all have the same undesirable large cutouts vs the small holes for the lane guide wires.
Can I get this one with just holes in the flipper feed like Pinball Pool one has vs the entire flipper feed wire form area being cut out?
It would be great if you offered the other titles as well with the small holes vs large oblong cutouts or just go back to the small holes again like you did with Pinball Pool.

Hi David,

well we decided to go for the complete cutout because of some customer feedback. People didn't want to pull out the metal lane guide.
We could offer to send you a protector without a cut out - you would have to drill the holes by yourself.
Unfortunately we do not have exact data for setting the holes correctly.

All the best

Excellent news Frank!

I was holding off purchasing as I really prefer taking the lanes guides out and putting back in after protector install as it is a much neater look.

Is there a notes section when ordering to specify the special instruction not to cut out those 2 flipper feed lane complete cutouts?

Thanks,
David

Just placed an order for 5 protectors with a notation that I will drill out the small holes for the wire flipper feeds so your production will leave that flipper feed area uncut / won't cut out that elongated area.

Well...

Just got the 5 playfield protectors and.....

YOU SENT ME THE STOCK ONES I DID NOT ORDER.

You were SUPPOSED to have the areas NOT cut out near the flippers as we agreed. Instead I have these standard ones (save for the Blackout which was done as I requested.)

Please advise.

Your protector for Seawitch made a huge difference, the game is much more fun to play, has drastically fewer airballs, and no anxiety about further playfield wear. Thank you!!
