Gottlieb Pioneer that has NO power to the playfield lights or flippers. Machine was working 100% (or close enough) just fine up until days ago. Now has power to the upper cabinet with score reels & lights, and the coin door "insert 25 cents" slots illuminate. But NO power to the lower cabinet--playfield does not light up, flippers don't work, 'start' button doesn't work.

Not sure what 'state' the game was in when it was powered off. We have young children and they occasionally play and power on / off at random times. Currently it lights up with "Ball in play" at "4." Also noticed that the "Tilt" light is illuminated. But again, NO lights whatsoever on the lower playfield.

A fuse somewhere?

Ok check your tilt points to make sure it isn't stuck that way and probably won;t operate.
You got a plumb-bob, maybe a side rolling ball guide inside, and maybe a switch or two - possibly on coin door and bottom the cabinet?

Sorry not super familiar with Williams of that era

On Gottlieb machines of this era, when you power on the machine it will be in tilt mode with lights on in the backbox and coin door, and lights off on the playfield. So, it looks like you have a "no start" condition when trying to reset the machine. First, is the machine set for free play? Are there credits showing on the credit reel in the backbox? Does the machine add credits when you put coins in the coin slots? You can manually press in the S relay to see if you can do a force start on the machine. If the machine starts to reset when you push in the S relay, then you would know there is an issue with the start circuit, which includes the credit/start button switch on the coin door. Do you have a schematic for the machine?

Fixed it--turns out it was just a 15amp fuse that had burned out. Replaced it and we're all up and running.

Thanks for the responses!
