I'm fixing up a cheap machine for my game room and the playfield posts are super yellowed. They look gross. Looking up the 1970's posts I feel like I'd spend more than the machine is worth in posts. I'm not planning on selling but still don't want to spend too much. I had an idea.... Novus 3,21. Then, airbrush white. Seal it with a clear coat enamel. I tested it on a hidable post. Thoughts, feeling, name calling?

I've had pretty good results with two approaches far less time consuming. One is to soak them for about a week in one of the household cleaners that has bleach in it. I put them in an empty liter bottle and then pour in the cleaner till they're covered. Just set it somewhere safe WITH THE LID OFF, and give it a good shake every day or so. The other is to take a pair of old tube socks and put one inside the other. Put all the posts in it, then put the open end of the sock over a can of comet or similar and shake enough in there to really coat them. Wet the tube sock and really mush everything around till the posts are coated. Let it sit for a few hours then toss it in the washing machine on a hot setting.
