Hi guys!
I want to do a clear coat by myself, without automative clear coat. Wich coat should I use? wich grit sandpaper, and how many layers?
I would like to hear your experiences!

i'd use varathane crystal clear. Make sure the playfield is perfectly level and spray the first coat until it looks like the playfield is covered in milk (yes- it goes on looking like milk). let dry over night until it looks clear again- then repeat. I'd highly recommend not brushing it on
Quoted from rs812:Why no automotive clear?
I think he wants a temporary clear. Seriously... Get yourself some 2pac auto clear.
I think that 2pac is a bit intimidating. Varathane seems easier. When I get to it, I’m going to try Spraymax 2k when I finish my touch ups. Got 2 cans for $32 on amazon.

I done two PFs with Max2K clear. Both turned out pretty darned good and I'm no artist. Protect your lungs when doing it.
