Now that Playboy found that people did not read it for the articles, is it time for Stern to make a new pin with color video display?

Every Playboy pin was a hit (there was even a Pin2000 version in the works when Neil shut down the Williams pinball division).

Is it time to pop a Tic-Tac and grab a pin?

The patents have run out on Pin2000, so that could add some interest too.

That didn't last long bahaha I wouldn't buy it, but someone would.

I was hoping to see a Hustler pinball machine in the not too distant future.

Time to renew for the articles!

Don't know how they thought they could do better without nudity

It was a trick.

Like "New Coke"

I'd get a new playboy themed pin2000 game if made for sure. Shame it wasn't released.

I think a new Playboy Pinball would be awesome. It is a solid theme that could be done very well and with a small amount of taste (Playboy style taste) it could be amazing.

New Coke was legit at the time it came out...Coke kept losing blind tasting tests to Pepsi which had more sugar, New Coke was designed to be sweeter than Pepsi.

There are a lot of articles on this, here is one I didn't read all the way through but seemed pretty good. http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/newcoke.asp

I think New Coke was just a way to fool idiots that drank that stuff.

After no on could remember what a fresh can of real Coke tasted like, they brought back Classic Coke - but with Corn Syrup instead of real sugar.

Bingo I have always thought this.

The problem is the taste tests themselves.

Taste tests are done with a small sip of the drink. Pepsi excels at this because it is sweeter. Over the course of a can though some will find that pepsi is too sweet. This is part of why many people will prefer coke to pepsi. No one takes one tiny sip of a drink.

Has anyone figured out who the different girls are on the playfield? Obviously Karen McDougal, but what about the others on the game?

Pretty sure they are the actual centerfolds from each month of that year.

Playboy w/no nudity is like beer w/o alcohol. Oh yeah, New Coke was terrible.............brilliant move.

Funny I have never heard about the pin2000 version of playboy til now. Amazing after several years in the hobby I'm still learning about new games.

I'd take even a SI with Kate Upton on the backglass.

Doesn't appear to be the case from what I can see. Definitely not 97 when she was Playmate of the month in December, and I don't think so in 98 when she was PMOY. Example in nov of 98, Playmate was Tiffany Taylor who has long dark hair.

I'm working on a side project, and I happened to have those issues right in front of me when I was reading the thread. For my little project, it would be cool to be able to identify the other ladies on the PF, and on the toys. Peek-a-boo etc.
