I have been trying to get the flippers to not operate in attract mode. I changed Q15 thinking that this would solve the problem. I'm pretty sure that I fixed the same problem once before on another pin. But it didn't work. Is it possible that U4 is bad?

Well, missing with the flipper relay seemed to fix my problem.

Messing with the relay might help if the flippers did not work at all but you have the opposite problem Your problem was the flipper relay was stuck on all the time which could be a bad U4, shorted Q15, or a bad PIA on the MPU.
Since it's working enjoy, if the problem returns, check the above.

BTW, thanks for posting the schematic figure. Makes it a lot easier for assisting.

hello what did you do to fix your flipper problem ? my night rider's flippers work in attract mode any help would be greatly appreciated thank you , michael

My problem did return. as BigAl56 suggested, it was a bad U4.
