    ?????should you replace all plastic inserts when getting a playfield repaired and clear coated????

    No, just the broken ones.

    Many have not been made in 40 years and have no replacement available

    If you don't replace them is there any special way to clean them on the underside ?any certain cleaner?

    Just shoot them with a little canned air to blow the gunk out.

    If there is no Mylar, keep your hand on the other side, as old inserts sometimes just go flying and break.
