Those rubber barrel post caps will pop off on a direct strike, saving the plastic from being destroyed.

Remember to install those clear plastic fender washers correctly.

They go UNDER the post nut.

That leaves a safety gap to absorb any strikes, rather than transfer that energy to the expensive plastic above it.
