I would make the entire assembly myself. If you don't have any SS stock, the hobby stores sell small metal sheets. They usually have a display by K&S engineering. My machine looks like it is made of 0.050 Stainless Steel. Some tin snips, file, vise, hammer, drill bits would do the trick.

Picture 1 shows the top of the assembly next to a ruler. Picture 2 shows the tab that holds down the gate. There is also a wire that holds the gate up (not shown). The drawing gives the measurements I took off of mine.
