I'm going to be in New Orleans for a few days and staying at a hotel near the airport. Any recommendations on where to play nearby?

New Orleans is not a pinball town. It has video poker for one thing, and if course lots of other stuff to do.

There are a few spots. The gyro / falafel joint has some games if they are still around.

    I didn't see Louisiana listed at pinballmap.com

There’s a placed called Mystic Krewe Pinball Parlor, not sure how close that is to your accommodations though.

I visited a buddy that lives out there about a year ago. It was bone dry for pinball. I'd head down to Frenchmen Street for some drinks and music and avoid Bourbon Street like the plague.

You can catch probably the best meal in the city here: https://www.brigtsens.com/ and then go grab a cocktail crafted by my buddy here: http://www.shayarestaurant.com/menu

It’s in town, not near the airport. But why wouldn’t you go downtown it rules?

I’ll be there next week for the Stones among other things.

I'm going for work and thought we were staying near the airport but I'm actually right on Canal St. I'll have to see of Mystic Krewe is near me.

It’s not far. Likely A quick cab ride or a fun bike ride.
