Was wondering if anyone came across this problem. Picked up a 1963 Midway Top Hit Pitch and Bat game (I never heard of it either). Was lucky as everything worked great but after about 30 plays I started getting the bat stuck and not resetting and coming back. Pitch another ball and it comes back and resets but records the out. Tried to clean the bat assembly and it worked for awhile then the same thing. Any help is appreciated.

Is the bat solenoid holding it up, or can you easily push it back to its resting position?

When stuck turn game off. If it stays up, mechanical. Check for things moving freely. Really clean. Nothing worn or broken.
If it drops, then leaf blade somewhere part of the power to it isn't opening enough.
