I would double check the wiring to the sail latch (mini-coil), my guess is the wire is almost broken and movement of the ship causes an intermittent outage and the sails don't stay latched down as they should. I had similar issues and when I checked the continuity while flexing the harness the issue was obvious. I ended up with broken wires to both coils so I wouldn't be surprised it you do too.
