That playfield is in amazing shape! I didn't see any bare wood. Even the blue triangular inserts look like they might be keepers! My triangular inserts looked like little skateboarding ramps!

Good work, and thanks for documenting this so we'll! I actually forgot to take any photos when I was removing my Quicksilver inserts so this is very nice to see!
I can't explain exactly why but: Spinning that sticky mastic out of the inserts is probably my favorite part of replacing inserts! I used the same dremel bit that Vid shows in his Playfield Restoration thread. It was easy...and for some weird reason...kind of fun!
Definitely, I should have used more epoxy instead of the multiple rounds of dripping 2PAC into the edges of the inserts. So much time wasted! Especially in the chasms around the triangular inserts! That was the biggest pain for me.
Question: Did your original triangular inserts have the misaligned 2 in the 2000 text? If so, would most customers want the new numbers straightened out or do they want to replicate the original exactly (defects and all)? I straightened mine because (with the starburst pattern) the numbers seem to be more visible than before.
