Any word on if the hotel has been/is going to renovate since last year? Remember reading somewhere that was in the plans before the next show.
I would like opinions on some other hotels nearby if anyone has any suggestions. I loved being at the hotel at the show, but if the rooms are the same I'm out. Sorry Gabe, I know you get a kickback, but I'll buy a Superpass again and bring a game. I did all 3 things last year. 2/3 ain't bad...
Quoted from dannunz:I don't think Ivan ever changes the Allantown show dates. Its always the first weekend in May I believe.
Always 1st full weekend in May I believe. Mother's day is Sunday, no show that day anyway..
I have a seminar idea. What about how to build a 60 in 1? I know that's more video but I'm sure a lot of pinball people would be interested in it.
Quoted from dannunz:Great idea! I can have Dave Marston get in touch with you to set it up. If anyone wants to put together a panel on any type of pinball or video game repair or anything else shoot me a message. We are open to ideas.
I would like to go to one..lol..Have a vague idea on how it's done but haven't done one..
Quoted from ryandimx:Which day is the auction this year?
I forgot about the auction..That was fun..Didn't have any room to bring anything home, but it was cool to go to..
Quoted from dannunz:PINTASTIC CODE OF CONDUCT! Their will be 3 of these, one next to the box office, one in the free play area and one in the vendor hall.
problem is spelled wrong
Quoted from CrazyLevi:To ask permission is to seek denial.
It's easier to ask forgiveness than it is permission..
Personally I like it being Fourth of July week because I take the whole week vacation and I get a day back from the holiday that I can use somewhere else. You might actually get more people who take the Thursday/ Friday off to make a long weekend out of it.
I think the auction was fun last year. There wasn't much that interested me so I didn't even stay this year. But I think that room is where it should stay. Maybe more promotion of they're being an auction and what the rules are on bringing? I think one bad year isn't a reason that you should scrap it.
I don't necessarily agree with an electro-mechanical room. I think having them integrated in with the other machines you are more apt to have a casual player hit the start button then to have them go and find the room with those in there. Plus if Brian doesn't bring 16 machines again next year and you take the electromechanical machines out of there what does that room look like then?
I loved the VIP room, maybe put the flea market and there while the VIP machines are elsewhere? Only drawback there is if people have large stuff to haul it in and out.
