Pics look great!!!! Thanks for posting.
Quoted from dannunz:We have a whole wall of ems
I was surprised by the number there; huge thanks to the members that brought them out.
I'd like to bring one or two next time to add to the variety.
Of the EM's I liked Skyline (thank you to to owner for maintaining it and have it decently tuned) the best followed by Melody which was charming. Pity it was so loud as you can't actually hear the games play which is half the experience. Tried several SS titles while I was there too, Ghostbusters was ok, Seawitch was pretty fast which surprised me and also enjoyed playing Meteor.
Black Hole which I have been looking to add to our little collection turn out to be a disappointment; one of those pins that looks cooler than it plays I guess. I was able to play several games on it to give it a fair shake but the game play just never jelled for me for some reason.
My wife enjoyed herself very much, looking forward to going back.

Vip area has one of the nicest bsd I've ever seen. Crowd thinned in the vip area around 11 so it was easier to get on games, tftc, tz, rbion, gnr, Tom, met prem, twd prem and quite a few others. Bsd on the main floor played well too. Overall, the first day of free play was very nice, many games I've never played before.
Thanks to all who brought them.
There will be a couple of star wars games in the vendor hall, a full lineup of newer stern games from automated plus dialed in, hobbit and woz are there, GB premium in our booth, tspp, CV, gnr, jm, afmr, sm and many others all in vendor hall!
If you are on the fence about coming, get off it.
Foreflow - Your pictures of the tournament area show the backglass missing from my Dirty Harry. Did it ever get put it back? I fear the broke it during transport.

I think it appeared when I went back later in the day, but I wasn't really looking for it.
I've had a crazy summer, but made a last second decision to head out to Pinside this morning. My brother and I should be rolling up just as the vendor hall opens for the day. I'm overdue for some R&R, so I couldn't be happier to be making the trip. Looking forward to seeing you guys there!
Quoted from Matesamo:We were told Star Wars shipped without code so it sits like a tease in the middle of the room, lol.
Oh, come on...
Quoted from halflip87:Oh, come on...
I was just told they are overnighting it so it will hopefully be here soon.
Quoted from gac:Any pics of auction machines, etc? Thanks all.
The auction room is locked, haven't seen any action in or out of the room.
First seminar of the weekend, Eric Stone giving playing tips and strategies. Around 40 people in the room, very nice turnout.
Plus just found out the free play room is 100% full, any machines that show up now will go to the vendor room.
Show is packed with people and machines, lots of kids and females, reached beyond the core pinball crowd for sure.
I should be coming tomorrow. I will try and remember to bring my extra Totan apron if anyone is interested in having it for FREE. It's in decent condition. Pm if interested.
Coming in from the wilderness to ask- what's the etiquette at events like this? My wife and I are travelling over late tomorrow once she gets out of work, gonna play until they kick us out Saturday night. I assume with freeplay if you walk up to an open machine you can play until someone else wants to, but what about with sought-after machines? How polite/rude do I need to be?

When your game ends, look behind you and see if anybody is waiting. If so, give up the spot. If nobody is there, feel free to start a new game. I usually take a step or two back to make sure someone isn't waiting from a little ways away. If nobody approaches after a few seconds, then I'll feel free to start up a new game. Otherwise, let them play and hang close so you can have the next up after they leave.

I just went out and there were nothing but empty tables, tomorrow morning is supposed to be nicer so let's hope for the best!

Bob Adams has some real cool chit , if I think of it I'll snap pics tomorrow AM . Old gas pumps, real neat items. . There's a guy in the outdoor flea with large signs. He's got a Canada Dry sign that has to be 6' across

Please tell him that the Schnolls say hi. He's a really great guy. Lots of knowledge and great stuff
Quoted from bstnguy:Come on out!!! I'm here selling!
I have a list of stuff I'm looking for, I'd like to be there when its a full house (no offense) since it takes me an hour and half to get there.
I am back from Pintastic. Great mix of games in the Free Play area. Great EM selection, Brian's System-11 row was great, a good mix of classic Bly/Wms like Creech, MB. Gabe moved about 10 awesome games with ColorDMDs into the vendor area so pinball is being played everywhere. Silverball Tournament was running hot when I left (I only played 1 entry but still qualifying for tournament so far). Mike had all of the new Stern and JJP games running (Star Wars had to be updated but was running fine). Lot of parts mods and game room stuff. Too many people I knew to list.
Very good crowd for the early Friday. I think Gabe has got a hit on his hands.
Where was Evil Dead? Did that show up after I left? Bummed. I was also looking for Buffy
Forceflow. The story on my backglass was that they borrowed mine. When Jim heard I was asking about it he didn't want me to freak out so he borrowed the one from DM. Funny, this huge show and no one has backglass glass. And they didn't even think to ask me to grab a piece before coming up.
The show really was great. Brought my mom and nephew with me, and it was all of our first experiences at a pinball expo. I think either next year or in a few years I'll bring my Firepower with me to the show...that would be a lot of fun. Many thanks to everyone who brought their machines. It made for a wonderful time!
Some truly great games there. Unfortunately, my son and I had to leave at about 1:45, before any of the Dialed In's were running (aside from the tourney game). Thankfully, the SW were finally ready just before we left, and we each got one game in. Loved it. Played the nicest Medusa I've ever seen--never liked the game before, loved this one. Somehow, I never played Pinball Magic before--my son and I both loved it. Not sure if it went down, or if it was sold, but man it was great. Finally had a chance to play Rock. Game was gorgeous, just not my cup of tea. Had my modest personal high on WOZ, and had a blast.
BT Smokehouse review: not my cup of tea or the wife's. Brisket and ribs had a lot if fat and were dry. Without the sauce I chugged a 32 ounce Gatorade to flush things down. Cornbread was good we both liked that. Staff was very friendly and looked like their jobs didnt suck. Place looked clean and it was hopping. Hindsight for 25$ I'd probably order Chinese next time. Try it for yourself I will not be badmouthing them, maybe I'm off.
Pintastic Review: absolutely awesome! Great lineup of pins spanning 80 years. Had a tech fixing chit left and right. His wife was cleaning all the glass in free play, that was IMPRESSIVE. I didn't see any unhappy campers, smiles everywhere! Great games in the tournament, free play, vendor hall. Simply put you can tell Gabe put his heart into this show. The staff were all on point but not pushy, great to see. Huge selection of merchandise, please support this show ! This Pinsider gives it 2 thumbs way up!

You must have walking in the BBQ joint when my family were eating right by the door. We thought it was great, but not as good as the stuff we had near TPF in Dallas last year (but hey!...that's Texas, so it's really not fair!).
Pintastic is a wonderful show...everybody should try it at least once!
