So I got bored at work today and decided to pull some stats from Pinside. I went to a few of the more popular threads and pulled 50 Pinsiders, then ran some numbers. First up, most posts per day. Everyone on the list below posts an average of +5 posts per day. Who am I missing from this list?

    MOST POSTS PER DAY:

    o-din 19.64
    vid1900 14.23
    MustangPaul  12.19
    Whysnow 11.99
    Aurich 11.32
    LTG 11.05
    ForceFlow 10.64
    CaptainNeo 8.97
    TheLaw 8.50
    spfxted 8.17
    Rarehero 8.06
    beelzeboob 6.98

Out of the 50 I selected, all of these folks have been on Pinside over 5 years. I know I'm missing a ton here...

    YEARS ON PINSIDE:

    Robin 14.55
    zr11990 8.04
    TigerLaw 7.83
    CNKay 7.80
    pmWolf 6.66
    iceman44 6.29
    NorCalRealto 6.26
    SunKing 6.14
    spfxted 5.99
    toyotaboy 5.91
    indypinhead 5.81
    Rascal_H 5.78
    LTG 5.60
    vid1900 5.53
    High_End_Pins 5.52
    Mr68 5.52
    Whysnow 5.42
    TheLaw 5.33
    Bryan_Kelly 5.24
    OLDPINGUY 5.17
    Rarehero 5.15
    zippydapinhead 5.12

    Frax 5.08
    trilogybeer 5.04
    Mudflaps 5.01

Again, from the list of 50 - here are the 'good guys'. This is the ratio of thumbs up to number of posts. All of these folks have more than twice the number of thumbs up than posts:

    THE GOOD GUYS:

    Mr68 279.06%
    robin 262.54%
    frolic 241.04%
    High_End_Pins 228.67%
    Aurich 219.07%
    Rarehero 206.76%

    #4 2 years ago

Why am I on any list?

Only record I have is probably the thread with the most thumbs down :p

    #5 2 years ago

...and here are the bad guys (based on these stats alone and my sub-set of just 50 folks - no other inference is intended). This shows the ratio of down votes to total posts:

    THE BAD GUYS:

    Who-Dey 53.26%
    zr11990 42.52%
    pezpunk 38.20%
    Hazoff 29.62%
    Mr68 26.63%
    iceman44 25.27%

Interesting how Mr68 is both a good guy and a bad guy in this analysis. To me, that shows he gets lots of attention when he posts (both good and bad)...

...so like I said...I was bored at work today...

You wouldn't really think 6 posts a day is much...but then I remembered how many times I've NOT posted here much at all, which has happened quite a few times..

*edit* Just to demonstrate my general incompetence, I can't even figure out where he's getting all the actual numbers. All I see are the achievements not the stats behind them LOL

Go to your pulse page and just tick the "posts" option. You should be able to count up a total per day.

Sorry, that was suppose to read "pulse feed". I guess it auto-corrected for some reason.

To view the pulse feed for everyone you are following, there's an icon in the blue bar at the top:

just wanna point out (in my defense) i am VERY close to making the good guy list by your metrics as well

5,295 posts created, 10,234 thumbs up.

    stats can be misleading.

Some get a large % of thumbs up from ragging on others and then the others in that rag on crew thumbs away

Just saying... just using numbers in sociological experiements can be tough.

Says the man who has been moderated an astonishing 51 times, not including many, many moderator warnings they don't keep stats on.

I realize you're fixated on me as your boogieman, Hilton but take an honest look around. What you will find is a large group of frustrated people with you being the common denominator. I'd be willing to wager you received one of the recent Purge warnings.

And when the topic of the Purge first came up, your name was posted as a top contender. I didn't post it. In a recent thread about Ghostbusters, someone accused another of going all "Hilton".
Your name has become a euphemism for questionable Pinside behavior.

I've seen a revolving cast of people call you out for a variety of issues which you never seem to learn from. Never.

How typical it is these days to assign blame rather than take responsibility.

Yes, Hilton, myself and others pad our stats by picking on innocent people. Good grief.

I would be curious in a weighted stack ranking of posts per day per pin owned. Conventional wisdom would say that the more pins you owned, the more you would post since you may actively be involved in multiple owners groups. However, there may me users who are more active relatively to pins owned versus raw activity.

In case I didn’t convey it well, my comment was in jest. Seems like I see you active just about eveywhere I go on Pinside. I appreciate that not only do you take your moderator role seriously, but you also actively participate with what is most often informative and insightful posts (no suck-up intended).
