Crazy that Possessed...the drummer was like, 14. The others not much older.
And started a movement.
The latest and greatest will always come from our youth.

I have a great Acid Bath story.
I had a trumpet student who really liked rock music but his parents would only go as far as The Beatles or Simon and Garfunkel. He couldn't even watch TV or movies.
One day I thought that I loaned him a trumpet CD... He calls me one evening and says" That CD is awesome thanks for letting me borrow it. I love the guitars and the singer" I panic and I figure out that our singer slipped "When the Kite String Pops" into my Wynton Marsalis case. Needless to say it probably forever changed that kid. Yeah, I was like the black sheep uncle to that student.
Quoted from Gerrard17:Did the parents cut off trumpet lessons after that?? haha
Nope, I don't think he ever told them. Still cracks me up every time I hear that album.

Oh, and somewhat related: awhile back I did some black metal logos for stuff that shouldn't have black metal logos. "Wyoming" was one of those. These are going to the screenprinter's this month. If any of you guys want one, pm your shirt size and I'll hook you up. Nephasth, thought you might need one.

These are already, by far, my favorite shirts. All my friends are jealous.

I guess it depends on where you draw the death/black metal line on a pinball forum... I am more a black metal and doom/stoner kinda guy, the irony being that I am not a "stoner".
Man. This thread gets no love for a couple months, then......wham ! Too much sick Death for me to listen to in one day. ....Brutal Truth and Hellhammer (NASTY bends in that one!)
Fuck yeah !
Always dig the shit you post WY. Rabaelliun is sick like lung cancer !
We should have like, Thrash Thursdays, or Black Metal Mondays in here. I think we've got room for all ( Nep. might disagree )....I love my death moreso than black, but am a thrash banger at heart. SKELETONWITCH is my favorite metal band across the board. Love it.
We're all in this ......ah fuck it. ....this IS a Death Metal thread.

I see no irony in that. You don't have to fit a certain mold to like a certain type of music.
My buddy Dave formed this IN institution in 1991. Still melting faces here......just played with Detroit's crazy ass Child Bite last week.
Indiana is very much down with LEGION.
Devastation on the Nation tour kicks off in a month. My ticket was only $18 for this brutal line up. Anybody else going?
This thread has made me more consciously aware of my music tastes as far as what is considered death metal or black metal.
Seems like i'm a bigger fan of old death metal than newer death metal. Good stuff, keep posting.
Heard Krisiun today on Liquid Metal. Was tight,...nice riffs. Vox reminded me of Vader ....funny you posted that 20 eyes in my head they're all the same.
VADER's demo is my top shelf shit.
Ya know....for the longest time I thought Glenn was saying 20 eyes, in my head, theyre all insane, theyre all insane.
Nope. All the same.
Kinda like Data East.

It can be hard to understand what he is saying but I don't think he ever intended for people to overly analyze the lyrics.
Misfits confessional time: My first album was American Psycho bought it not long after it came out. Then I bought Static Age and the rest is history.
Hazoff, is it Black Metal Monday up in here ? Word on the street.
Indy supergroup Christ Beheaded circa 2008 with current Skeletonwitch drum debilitator Dustin Boltjes.
The metal in Indy from 05-10 was as good as any, anywhere. Better if you ask me.
Quoted from Hazoff:My favorite Deicide album, another classic song from my hash bot and arcade days.

Old school is always better, but Scars is my most played :
