The drums on this are fucking spectacular.
Quoted from Gryszzz:666 horns up for an Ironborn brother from Wyoming : Canea.
Glad to get you a copy. Every house in America should have one!
(pinside needs an emoticon with a guy throwing the horns)
Thanks to Hazoff for starting thread. Had he not, I would probably not be blasting De Profundis right now.
Look around gents.
These are your metal brethren. If you need something,...just ask.
We're a weird but tight group.
Horns.

We've come a long way from trading cassette tapes
Well, at least this thread isn't just gushing about Iron Maiden, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. You guys are going to make me start listening to this garbage again. Heh. I've got so much extreme black metal I don't listen to anymore it's ridiculous. If I do listen to death these daze it leans towards tech death.

FACT.
Quoted from Gryszzz:Heres to you Wyoming !
Oh, and somewhat related: awhile back I did some black metal logos for stuff that shouldn't have black metal logos. "Wyoming" was one of those. These are going to the screenprinter's this month. If any of you guys want one, pm your shirt size and I'll hook you up. Nephasth, thought you might need one.
Saw Cancer Bats, Devil Driver, and Baptized in Blood in Saskatoon. Great show with some interesting people watching. I'm a jeans and t-shirt dude, but it was fuckin Halloween in that place. Crazy stuff.
Good thread. I'm more into thrash but I like some darker stuff from time to time, Lamb of God is a good example. Looks like some good suggestions to try out here.
Great Six Feet Under from the Death Rituals album, a little bit of a Sabbath feel which is never a bad thing.
Another pinball-metal head here! I like Bloodbath and Therion in their early years. Also listen to doom/black metal bands like the old Katatonia, October Tide and many others \m/

That's awesome. This should be the official sign of this thread \m/
I love it!

I saw them live when they came to Toronto. Still have the concert shirt.
Sorry but Dimmu Borgir isn't Death Metal in my opinion. I would say theatre metal cabaret but not Death Metal, this is Death Metal

It's actually referred to as black metal, which is my preference.
Mayem and Gorgoroth are more Black Metal to me than that band, too much piano and opera singing for me, don't get me wrong I like opera but not mixed with metal. JMO

I take it that you're not a fan of Cradle of Filth then? I love their old stuff. Lots of "opera singing" in there though.

Also must highly disagree with you on the above statement as well
Thats fair, I really don't listen to black metal so I shouldn't judge it anyway. Thrash and death is what I love the most and oldschool at that, the new stuff like Cattle Decapitation and Dying fetus is too much for me I like the groove to be there to some degree.
I like Obituary. I saw a more recent live performance of them on youtube and they still sound the same as they did 20 years ago. I liked that. I think the bass/drummer/singer are the original dudes too. Cause of Death and The End Complete are probably my favorite CD's from them.
The "I know it's not death" lame intro.....but.....
been digging these tracks on XM40 here lately.....
Armored Saint. Loving this track.....
Quoted from Gryszzz:Indianapolis nastiness...
I like it. I like it A LOT
For some reason I seem to prefer the 1984 demo versions from Possessed
Possessed - Evil Warriors Demo 1984
One more for tonight:
Maybe not "death metal"
pentagram - walk in the blue light

I'd go with Pagan Terrorism Tactics over WTKSP.
I know it's more doom metal but My Dying Bride - 34.7...% complete always kicked my a$$
