Really wish I was goin to the Decibel metal and beer fest, just to hear Obituary run through Cause of Death, but I can't watch that then watch Baroness take the stage after. Baroness is ok, but following Cause of mf Death? No.
Quoted from Gryszzz:Baroness
Baroness is fuckin shit. Why is Obituary playing anywhere near those dickheads? Might be worth it to show up just for Cause of Death then quickly make an escape.
Some of the overseas “metal festivals” have some odd combinations of bands and genres.
Anyway, would certainly like to see the entire Cause of Death set played live.
Quoted from Gryszzz:NONE SO VILE
rules
Man thats too much for me, Ur an Animal sir.
The Vital Remains Glen Benton pair of albums are fucking insane.
I saw em live in 08 front row the bassist didn't use a pick. Was the craziest fuckin bass hammering I've ever witnessed.
Hazoff I'm surprised at ya pokin fun at my Cryptopsy vids, being a a good bass player and all. Not that I gaf, but None So Vile is some of the best dm bass ever laid to plastic. Love that fuckin album.

I have a bit of a speed limit with Death Metal. Blast beats and BPM reach a speed sometimes thats just too much for me. I have always preferred the slower grind than the super fast. This is a perfect blend.
The background music in the queue for The Mummy ride at Universal Studios Orlando always reminds me of Spawn of Uamenti
Quoted from Gryszzz:Not dm but if you can't get down with NEGATIVE APPROACH first 7" then go kill yourself
I don't know man looks like I might have to kill myself, never been a punk guy really outside DRI and the like. Anyway back to Death.
Billy agrees and by proxy, Scott agrees too.
Totally in on the BK3 fucking rules cause it does club.
Quoted from Gryszzz:Totally in on the BK3 fucking rules cause it does club.
Yep, simple and fast with great monsters to battle and ofcourse that music. Its so great.
I'm from Indy but we live in Bloomington, an hour south. Couple that with 3 kids and a wife that works crazy hours, I don't get to see many shows anymore.
But my good buddies Summon the Destroyer gonna tear shit up this Sat along with my pal Bob on bass duty for Savage Master.
Can't fucking wait.

Lifetime achievement award right there
Storytime: We opened up for Abscess in San Diego in the mid 2000s. I gave Reifert a copy of an old soundtape from the board of a club I saw them (Autopsy) play at in Germany in the early 90s, like 90 or 91. At Club Chameleon in Iserlohn, Germany. That was the only interaction I ever had with him. Those 90 seconds at a pool table during soundcheck.
Fast forward 5 years or so, I'm at the Maryland Deathfest, in the parking lot, hanging out.
All of a sudden I hear someone yell 'Götz, Götz' and he comes running towards me.
Was Reifert to say thank you one more time.
My mind was and is still blown... What a maniac....who would remember a strangers face and name?
BTW, one song off of my tape made it into one of their reissues, have it on vinyl know.

not the best but damn good. This album was big for me as a 16 year old long hair. Man brings back memories of hanging out and hash and pinball.

Reifert, Cutler and the rest of those guys are amazing people! Autopsy stayed at my house in 91' or 92' when Mental Funeral came out. Saw Abscess twice and I've seen Autopsy a few times since they reformed and they ALWAYS remember me. Last Fall, I went up to Montreal for the Quebec Deathfest. Autopsy basically headlined and it was good seeing those dudes again. Chris just did a quote for the latest issue of a horror art mag I put.

Ya know how MOTORHEAD used to come on stage and say "we're Motorhead and we play rock-n-roll"?
AUTOPSY comes on stage as sez "We're Autopsy and WE ARE DEATH METAL" and I couldn't agree more
