I'm late to the party as usual but WOZRR #470 checking in. This is my first NIB game and everybody enjoys playing it. The red powder coat is gorgeous in person.

Here is mine. Probably should have done this a while back. Mine was one of the last off of the line...

FNG here. Playing pinball like a junkie for 45 years. Long time reader of the forums, first time poster at Pinside. Received my WOZ standard #231 in February of 2014. Never did understand how they numbered and shipped these games. Just does not makes sense to me. Older games that had the newer light boards than games dated after this one. Never had a single issue with the game except for normal pinball tweaks and right now the monkey magnet sensor is acting up but Loyd has hopefully gotten JJP to send me a new one. image.jpegimage.jpeg Thanks to all here for such great information over the years and especially to Loyd. Don't know how he does it.

#508 8 years ago

Welcome! Lloyd is truly passionate about the hobby as most of here are. He's helped me a ton over the years. Directly or indirectly from here and RGP. Lots of good on here. Just take the good with the bad.

#509 8 years ago

Thank you Mr. Dmacy, appreciate your welcoming me to the forums. And yes, Loyd has helped me several times in the past and by seeing all the people he helps out everyday I wonder if the man has a second for himself. But we do appreciate his time for sure! And if you happen to read this by some chance Loyd, thank you sir.

WOZ Land Down Under Limited Edition #16/250

Just bought a NIB WOZ Standard, I think the serial is #955. I'll pick up a shaker motor upgrade soon as the one I played over the weekend had that upgrade and it was used well.

Added over 8 years ago: Had problems with shipping, it's #956 now.

#515 7 years ago

Just got mine yesterday. everything was good out of the box. One small clear plastic piece had come loose during shipping. It is missing one of the black rubber posts to attach it to the screened plastic piece. Will get that taken care of next week.

Thanks to April over at Automated. Ordered Wednesday and it arrived on Friday around 1:00.

Thanks

Congrats on getting your WOZ.

It's a great pin.

You'll find countless posts about the love it or hate it feelings people tend to have for WOZ, it a very polarizing game. I love the game but I don't think I would really characterize it as having a lot of flow, there's too much stop and go for that with the mini-playfields and multiple VUKs. There are a lot of shots and and the rules are deeper than the ocean but a flow-master it is not.

Ruby Red #756. Awesome game! Really unique and innovative.

It reminds me of Twilight Zone, so not really.

#521 7 years ago

+1 No flow. Can play fast at times (assuming you dont hit the VUK), but overall no, not fast. Just amazing overall gameplay, DEEEEEP rules, great quality build, and despite the theme, amazing to look at. Ive had mine for only two weeks now and could just stare at it forever.

#522 7 years ago

Ruby Red #831. Never thought I'd own this title -- but glad I picked it up because my wife and daughters are REALLY enjoying it. That alone made it worthwhile and I'll admit it's growing on me.

Play it twice, and it's difficult to get firm opinion about it, but effectively it did not seem to me a fast and flowly game.

But it is so beautiful and i m sure the theme fit to a family

Standard and 75th have the same gameplay? Can a standard playfield be cosmeticly upgraded to LE?
Thanks

Exact same gameplay. You could probably buy the extra bling and upgrade, but at that point, you might as well just pay for the 75th. I'm not sure JJP sells the bling for that purpose. Also, the 75th has the powder coated rails and body armor which look fantastic.

#525 7 years ago

They certainly sell the shaker and the extra 75th plastics, not sure about the wireforms. I'm intending to ask that question myself actually as I'd like some of the green ones as found on ECLE which you can't buy anymore, but I also really wanted a NIB machine.

You can't get any of the ECLE stuff. But you could get the wireforms and powder coat or anodise them.

They won't sell them to people or they don't keep the parts?

Probably neither for the ECLE wireforms. They definitely won't sell them for upgrades. Also they're extremely unlikely to fail, so they're unlikely to keep stock. Guess they might have a couple chucking around somewhere, but I suspect customers will be expected to have them re-coated rather then getting a replacement from JJP for that kind of part, if they wear eventually. I have an ECLE ... the finish isn't a highly specialised one like the Hobbit Smaug LE 'hammered' bronze. It's just a normal, sparkly emerald green. I would imagine a number of car / motorbike outfits in the UK could achieve something very similar.

Add me to the buyer list. Its currently somewhere in Chicago (last 3 days). Hopefully its just a matter of not getting a departure scan and its not stuck in shipping.

Anyway, super excited for this game, I have loved it every time we played and was was something my wife actually got behind 100% for getting a NIB game (my first... Got some convincing to do with other games but hopefully not my last).

We actually lucked out and had a choice between a 75th on backorder which would have gone out end of summerish or a ECLE in stock... I'm assuming from someone who gave up their ECLE for a RR. While those red rails and legs look amazing for us it came down to a. Direct print cab vs decal, b. The special apron(the standard apron just didn't look right to me with the rest of that bling). c. It was available for immediate shipping and d. We got a 75th topper added in (my wife loves that topper)

Oh and also the backglass message... We decided we wanted a theme related message over "75th anniversary edition" on the glass.

#530 7 years ago

Got mine back in January, RR #1034, build date 10/27/15. Plays fantastically, so much to do. Nothing else quite like it, especially when you have balls you are actually actively playing on three playfields at once.
