Looks like I am going to get stuck in the Basement!

I have always felt and shared that banner advertising fees are needed.
Now I respect those that have a negative first reaction to this, but hear me out.
On the main page there already are banners and they have been there a while with no complaint.
If they simply rotate, keeping them all equal, it is fair, which is the nirvana of pinside....please, no big annoying banners!
How many Vendors would participate? I would. I would hope all others.

Regarding donations and premium accounts.

I think many people would donate, and more, but "marketing" of donating hasnt been a priority.
We see posts for people to donate to many causes here. We see great success with threads that are a raffle.
Perhaps energy into the donation side, T shirts with a $50 Donation. (and/or a Premium account) But market as
a donation....for me it keeps the hobby feel, rather then a club buy in.
Raffle a ???, or coordinate with Pin manufacturers to Raffle the "first game" Ill bet that would get great interest!

The support is there, and perhaps doing more in other revenue streams can eliminate the game sales donations.
I think that fees in selling will hurt listings.

Perhaps even additional ways....Things done for or at Shows under the Pinside name, Affiliate revenue vs flat rate on banners....

Maybe collectively, we have other thoughts to share on revenue generating that can help.
