How about you update your Pinside ratings to match your claim? The Pindide ratings are only a combined reflection of what individual Pinsiders put in as their ratings.

This hobby is all about personal preference and what you like.

This follows my ratings exactly, although I do not rate machines in the pinside 100 unless I have substantial time on them so as not to skew the numbers.

Maiden is a great game. It being so low on the list is not a reflection on a poor game, but rather on the excellent quality of the games it is competing against. Temp traded my Deadpool for a Maiden for 4 months last year. I stand by my decision.

Own em all including Bond 60. Play em all. Kudos to you for the list. Nothing like sticking out your genitals for stomping. I’m old and numb.

    My thoughts:

    GZ #1- no argument there.
Rush- top ten- switch with Stranger Things.
007 Cornerstone is definitely becoming a favorite, but not as fun as IM- yet- switch those two.
    Switch BKSOR with Avengers
    Munsters and A-SMITH- No change
    Bond 60- #16.

All are fun games. Stern is killing it.

    Cheers!

    Them thar are fightin' words!

Obviously, you have no appreciation for the best possible Stern Spike 2 (LCD video) Pins (HOME VERSIONS)!!!

And since you are only looking at the worst of the Stern Spike 2 (LCD Video) pinballs (the remaining 20 trash pinballs in your list, since you neglected the obviously superior home pins)...

I refuse to even comment on how your list isn't in the right order.

Not much time on Stern Home pins but:

    1. JP Home
    2. SW Home
    3. SM Home
    4. Avengers Home

Can't comment on the Bond 60th as I've never seen one. I'll have to think on Rush/A-Smith. I respectfully disagree on the Avengers/BKSOR switch.

Lost all credibility ranking LZ and 007 above it, how can you even rank 007 yet with the state of the code?

    #15 11 months ago

Is your list premium or pro?

    #16 11 months ago

I’m with you except I’d switch JP to number 2 and SW to number 3.

I have yet to play Foo premium so can’t say about Foo but it seems like 5 is kind of high, maiden should be in top10 definitely better than Mando and Bond.

    #17 11 months ago

What an awesome generation of games we’re in. Can’t argue too much because personal preference and theme affinity will change the order for anyone. If IM had basically any other theme it would be top 3

    #18 11 months ago

But Iron Maiden is the best Elwin.

    #19 11 months ago
    Quoted from manadams:

Lost all credibility ranking LZ and 007 above it, how can you even rank 007 yet with the state of the code?

I had 007 at the bottom until the last code update (see my pinside review) but it has been growing on me and I have been enjoying it more and more. I enjoy the play on Led Zeppelin and put it as Steve Ritchie (my favorite designers) flowiest game. Its as low as it is though due to theme... which is largely why I have Iron Maiden so low. Its still a good game, and if it was any other theme it would be higher on my list.

But Iron Maiden is the best Elwin.

    Layout its:

    Godzilla
    Iron Maiden
    Jurassic Park
    Avengers

Layout and theme incorporated together its:
    Godzilla
    Jurassic Park
    Iron Maiden
    Avengers

If Iron Maiden was a family friendly theme it would have competed with Godzilla for GOAT.

    Nice list, but “family friendly”?!
All Elwin’s near top - still going Maiden!
    (Rush- Beatles much higher too)

    Now, let's move on.

Maybe I have poor taste... and maybe theme matters too.

    #33 11 months ago

Ok I guess I will just fight you. Led Zep way too high, and over Maiden? Also I get that Beatles is a game people either you love or hate but damn not 3rd from bottom. I guess you aren’t too big on the music pins cause Rush is low as well. Maybe we switch around 007 and TMNT while I’m messing with YOUR list.

    #34 11 months ago

As soon as I saw where you rated Maiden, I knew there would be an online riot. Hell, I would even have it right up there sitting next to Godzilla in the rankings. But this theme alone can be a deal breaker for many out there, so I do get what you are saying.

    #35 11 months ago

Replace rappers with pinball and Dylon with Deadpool:

    #36 11 months ago

Honestly I tend to enjoy Maiden more than Godzilla at most times (and I LOVE Godzilla). Maiden is also my favorite band so personal preferences on theme will go a long way on these. My top 10 probably shift around at any point in time depending on what type of game I am looking to play.

It really is great to have so many good choices to even be having this argument though.

What if I say it’s not like the others? What if I say it’s not just another one of your pins and you’re the pretender?

    #41 11 months ago

I like your list, but I would probably flip Godzilla with JP.

I think BM66 is one of the most underrated games. The shot geometry is off a bit, and I wish the turntable was faster… but the game is just so much fun.

Ok...you are FORCING ME to think about this, so here is where I stand:

    1.JP
    2. Godzilla
    3.Elvira’s House of Horrors
    4.Deadpool
    5.Batman 66
    6.Iron Maiden
    7.TMNT
    8.Rush
    9. Foo Fighters
    10.007
    11.Stranger Things

    14.Avengers
    15.Aerosmith
    16.Mandalorian
    17.GOTG
    18. Munsters
    19.Beatles
    20. Led Zeppelin

    #45 11 months ago

I think SW is super underrated pin.

    I’d vote

    1. GZ
    2. SW
    3. JP
    4. DP
    5. BM66
    6. EHOH
    7. Maiden
    8. Foo

    #46 11 months ago

I have been playing a JP premium at a local arcade for months now. So have my kids. But none of us really love it. It's great that others do, but it just doesn't make me want to keep playing it. Zilla does. So does Maiden and AIQ. But JP? Of the Elwin's I rank it last.

I have a 007 LE and it friggin' keeps sucking me back in. Everyone in my family loves it, incomplete and haphazard code and all. So a year or two from now I expect it to rise on these lists.

I also like the Zeppelin machine a lot more than many ranked above it. So to each their own. Sometimes you just want to rock out to some non-stop pinball action. Zep does that. Let me also vent my disappointment with the Rush machine. One of my favorite bands of all time - and Neil Peart probably influenced me more than any other lyricist - but the game is so lacking, IMO.

    #47 11 months ago

You forgot to put Iron Maiden at number 1. My opinion is the only one that matters to me.

Nice list! I have 10 of the 20! GZ is #1 in the bunch for sure. Iron Maiden should be top5. An amazing game. Stern games are fun for sure!
