Am I the only one who is having problems loading the forums on their phone?
It has been extremely slow the last couple of weeks or so.
Pinside is the only website where I have this problem.
I have a Galaxy S5 and use Dolphin as my browser.
    Anyone else?

Images currently aren't loading for folks using dolphin.

I have not experienced this myself. Yesterday, when there were 700+ Pinsiders online the site was still fast for me.

The image problems appear to be browser-specific? I think this is only occuring on Dolphin browser?

Let me know how it goes if you try a different browser.

    #4 9 years ago

Images show fine from what I can tell, but that might be why it's slow.
I tried a different browser and it worked fine. Loaded nice and quick.
    It's just Dolphin.

Dolphin is far and above my favorite browser for pinside and it is not working well at all. The best alternative has been Next Browser. The text zooming functionality is almost as good as dolphin. Not quite as good, unfortunately..

I'm hoping that someone figures out the problem and it is better with the next update. Robin said that he was working on mobile functionality in the update thread.

Pinside doesn't like Firefox on my Note 4.

A mobile version of the site would be magic.

    #7 9 years ago

It looks like it might just be Dolphin on my phone.

When I try to access a non-loading image directly, I get this message:

    Screenshot_2015-03-24-09-58-07.pngScreenshot_2015-03-24-09-58-07.png

If I change the https to http in the address, then the image loads fine.

On the same device, the default Chrome browser doesn't seem to show any problems with images.

    Still an issue for me.

    #12 9 years ago

It's loading a ton faster for me but images are still an issue.
Thanks for all of the hard work guys!

I have no clue what is happening but it must be browser/os related. I have made some changes to the configuration of the supported SSL-ciphers:

For those of you who understand Nginx:

    ssl_ciphers "ECDH+AESGCM:DH+AESGCM:ECDH+AES256:DH+AES256:ECDH+AES128:DH+AES:RSA+AESGCM:RSA+AES:!aNULL:!MD5:!RC4:!3DES:!DSS";

    Was changed to :

    ssl_ciphers EECDH+CHACHA20:EECDH+AES128:RSA+AES128:EECDH+AES256:RSA+AES256:EECDH+3DES:RSA+3DES:!MD5;

Was my preferred cipher (ECDH+AESGCM) slow on some devices? Again, not a clue I'm really guessing here.

    NO issues on iPhone...

    #16 9 years ago

So we have two issues being reported.
    1 - slow loading site
    2 - images not loading

If you are experiencing this, please post
    - your browser / version / operating system / device
    - approx. how many Pinsiders are online (visible on the forum frontpage)
    - etc

The more info, the better changes I have a finding out what is causing this issue for some visitors. I have never experienced any huge issues, like I said even with 700+ Pinsiders online.

The site speed seems to be fine, still having some images fail to load.

    Safari/iOS8.1.2/iPad 3
    407 Pinsiders online
I have seen this issue before on other sites, but can't confirm if it's truly HTTPS related.

    Images don't appear under:

    Android 5.0
    Dolphin 11.4.3

    491 users online.

Are you guys having issues when you are on your cellular connection, or a traditional wireless connection, or both? Pinside doesn't play nice with https redirects on my 4g connection, but when I am on a wireless connection, it works fine.

    Quoted from ForceFlow:

    Images don't appear under:
    Android 5.0
    Dolphin 11.4.3
    491 users online.

All same here except Android 4.4.4

    #21 9 years ago

I'm seeing the image issue while on WiFi and 3G/4G.

    #22 9 years ago

Bump. Anyone else experiencing these issues?

My iOS8 iPad is still doing this. No issues on iOS7.
