Quoted from Mbecker:Dont believe in ghosts but those old suicide / haunted houses just sound creepy as f! No way I would stay in one
Then what do you believe in that would make it creepy?

Quoted from John_I:Ghosts and spirits are the oldest fake news. Hallucinations on the other hand are definitely real.
2 weeks ago everyone was saying the same thing about UFO's
On a business trip to Phoenix recently, during the first three nights in the hotel room the air conditioning unit would begin cycling on and off like crazy at 2ish AM, waking me up. The air unit over by the window kept undulating the curtains, and there was a hyperactive clicking noise from the thermostat much closer to the bed. Getting up to fidget with the temp setting on the thermostat seemed to stop it, but only for it to begin all over again fifteen minutes later. Then, after about an hour or so of this bullshit, it would stop completely and everything would return to normal and I could fall back asleep.
I kept thinking I should ask them to change my room, but long days of meetings, seminars, and all the other work-related stuff that goes along with business trips only to finally hit a restaurant sometime around 7, and talking to the hotel staff about it kept slipping my mind. Then it woke me up again on the fourth night. I dragged myself out of the bed and walked over to the thermostat and said, "Why are you doing this?" The clicking instantly stopped! I didn't have an issue with it again the rest of my stay, which was another 6 days.
Was that a ghost? I have no idea. The thought that it was a ghost or something like that never crossed my mind until after it stopped, and if I would have just switched rooms I never would have even considered something like that. I would have just assumed the room had a bad thermostat that needed to be replaced.
Quoted from Azmodeus:I was wondering if anyone has tried the necrometer app, by the way.
I have not seen this particular app but have seen other "ghost" apps and I would be very skeptical. I think these things are more like party gags.
