Quoted from phil-lee:Not criticizine anyone for not believing. Just tired of hearing its the wind, a cat, house settling, random act, intentional prank etc.
I live in an old house that's supposed to be extremely haunted. There's a ghost story for every room in the house and everybody in town thinks it's haunted - so much so that I get people telling me stories about my own house at parties (even when the person has never been in my house), and always respond something like "Oh, yeah, the walls drip blood at midnight" or whatever. I've lived here for 15 years and never experienced anything out of the ordinary.
Seems like there are people that experience ghosts (or whatever) and those that do not. I suffer from sleep paralysis and have experienced some pretty freaky things, but it's all in line with typical sleep paralysis experiences - previous owner of my house even left me some typed out "ghost stories" that were obviously her experiences with sleep paralysis. Personally I think sleep paralysis and pareidolia account for the vast majority of ghost and abduction stories, with the effects of environmental infrasound throwing in a wild card here and there.
