Ok hear me out here I’m actually a drummer. But playing in bands I have always wished I could play guitar. I have an acoustic I have been plinking around with for years but I decided to actually put the time in and learn instead of just look up a tab and learn a song.

I am borrowing a les paul special for the moment while I finish a kit guitar I have been working on. I picked up a vox av30 amp too, blown away by the sound honestly.

This is my little fiddle after paint. Getting there

Quoted from gorditas:

If you haven't bought any, or can return what you did, buy yourself locking tuners and a Graphtec nut. If you need some pickup suggestions, let me know. [quoted image]

Wow, incredible setup!

I am going to order some grover tuners and wasn’t sure on the nut. May upgrade everything else later but figured do those parts first so I don’t end up with extra holes in the head after swapping tuners. I’ll look into graphtec, thanks for the tip!

I see you're planning on being a "blues" player. (Is "glitter blues" a new music genre?)
Remarkable that you chose one of the few colors that gorditas doesn't already have.

Lol! Well it is way more green in person. I wanted it right in the middle where you couldn’t call it a blue or a green. I ended up spraying out 6 different candies until I was happy with the color.

Beautiful paint job. What did you use? I’ve been dragging my feet about getting a kit. Just no time. Really digging the precision guitar kit stuff.

Thank you. It’s all automotive paint. Started with a silver base coat, layed some 50/50 flake over that, then a coat of candy blue/green I mixed up.

I want to try a precision kit next, they make awesome archtop les pauls.

Super facebook marketplace score today, thought some of you might appreciate it. I recognized the fabric (I have two other voxes) and jumped on it. The lady had a ton of cool stuff, 1920s gibson uke, Magnatone amps.

I don’t have anything high end like yall, but this is my main fiddle. My parents picked me up this les paul used in austin texas and I fell in love with it. I have only been playing about a year so still a lot to learn but I have kind of surprised myself with what I can play so far.

One thing I know nothing about is effects. Was kind of thinking about a fuzz pedal, what else would be good? I play beatles, hendrix style stuff. Not into metal really.

Quoted from Rdoyle1978:

All Right, the time has come to start cleaning house. I have several nice Brian Moore guitars with piezo bridges that I need to start getting rid of. I’m not going to bother selling them, so I’m looking for ideas of where to donate them. I dont have time to mess with Facebook market or craigslist - those immediately ate up more time than the item was worth the last time I tried. So! Give me some ideas what to do with these things

I don’t have any ideas for you but I was unaware of Brian moore guitars, and wow they use some nice maple!
