Here is a fun guitar in my quiver, a 1991 Fender Talon. Made in Japan with its cousin the RG.

Quoted from sunnRAT:

Anyone use Orange amps? I got a solid state Crush Pro 120 and i think it's pretty decent for the price. Saves me usage on my vintage Sunn. Would like to demo some of their other amps someday.

I have this Orange Amp set up for practice. I love Orange Amps.

Been playing with this Boss ME-80 lately. Fun little multi-effect board.

Picked up my first semi-hollow today. Backlund Rockerbox II.

Definitely a Buick! Backlund designs heavily influenced by old cars. Very interesting shapes and features.

Todd Rundgren often plays a Backlund design.

Really happy with it. A lot heavier than I thought it would be. Ordered it 10 weeks ago and it showed up today. Been fun tonight. 30+ years playing and I have never owned a semi-hollow body. Also fought hard my habit of only buying Gibsons. It’s time to venture out.

So I bought my first Les Paul Custom this past week. I bought it from Gibson, has a unique “Tygermyst” (that’s what Gibson calls it) finish. It’s a bengal burst with a crazy transparent white sparkle glaze over it. Looks different every which way you look at it, pictures cannot capture how it looks in person. It’s impossible to get an accurate picture taken. Plays amazing.

My 5150 Iconic cab was finally just delivered after being back ordered for months. I’ve had the amp head since beginning of Jan.

Fender Performers are interesting. I have a soft spot for strange Fenders. I’d love to snag a Fender Katana someday.

#1165 1 year ago
Quoted from vid1900:

Probably the rarest Fender is The Swinger
Only ~100 made in 1969, the chick from The Regrettes plays one:
The Regrettes - Seashore

Fender Swingers are cool. When I first saw the Meteora I immediately saw a new take on those.

Just bought a 2012 Gibson Moderne today. Always been a curiosity of mine. I’ll report back once it arrives.

Moderne arrived today. Looks like this one was purchased in 2012 and sat in case for a decade. A lot more playable than I thought. Sounds pretty good, another oddity for the quiver.

Quoted from Rdoyle1978:

All Right, the time has come to start cleaning house. I have several nice Brian Moore guitars with piezo bridges that I need to start getting rid of. I’m not going to bother selling them, so I’m looking for ideas of where to donate them. I dont have time to mess with Facebook market or craigslist - those immediately ate up more time than the item was worth the last time I tried. So! Give me some ideas what to do with these things

Maybe check your local school district, see if there is a band program that could use them?

Looks like there is a Stern branded Gibson Les Paul with ZY Foo Fighters art at SDCC on display! Pinball and guitars! Anyone there and can get a better pic? Would’ve been slightly cooler if they did this on a DG-335 but I get why they wouldn’t.

Can’t tell if that is just a decal slapped on or a legit Gibson Promo guitar.

#1375 9 months ago
Quoted from Wmsfan-GAP:

It’s probably a legit promo guitar. Gibson will do that for you if the price is right…
There is a neat Yahoo! one on reverb right now https://reverb.com/item/70342415-gibson-les-paul-2001-custom-shop?bk=

Right, Gibson has made a bunch of promo guitars over the years. Some better than others, the Fruit of the Loom one always makes me chuckle:

New guitar day! A not for everyone ESP Kiso Custom Dave Mustaine Axxion from 2005. Rare bird from his short stint with ESP. Been looking for one for years and found one last Saturday. Saw Megadeth last night in Reno as well!

Speaking of Fender- Anyone tried the new Tone Master Pro modeler in person? Looks impressive but I have never used a modeler set up before.
