Well. I own one of these now I guess.

Pretty bad ass. Worth the hype?

Quoted from orangegsx:

Ok hear me out here I’m actually a drummer. But playing in bands I have always wished I could play guitar. I have an acoustic I have been plinking around with for years but I decided to actually put the time in and learn instead of just look up a tab and learn a song.
I am borrowing a les paul special for the moment while I finish a kit guitar I have been working on. I picked up a vox av30 amp too, blown away by the sound honestly.
This is my little fiddle after paint. Getting there[quoted image]

Beautiful paint job. What did you use? I’ve been dragging my feet about getting a kit. Just no time. Really digging the precision guitar kit stuff.

Anyone in any bands? If so, list them up! Always down to hear new stuff.

My band, the Hallow, just put a new record out last month. Check it out if you’re into hard rock/punk rock or if you’re just bored at work. It’s available digitally everywhere and on vinyl.

Hell yeah man I dig it! Definitely has that early 2000s rock/punk sound I love.

Much appreciated for checking it out

Quoted from littlecammi:

Years ago I recorded some of my instrumental compositions with help from a few of my friends (Mark on drums, Rich on sax, and Ron or Jim on keys). Since they all knew me but never met each other, we were The Phantom Band. I played multiple guitar, bass and keyboard parts and mixed the multitracks down to stereo. These days I use a drum machine and play all the parts myself.

That’s awesome. Is this available online to check out? I’ve been dabbling in the home recording world the last 6yrs and it’s pretty great.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

So I bought another one...Should show up on Monday or Tuesday.
This is a 1979 Les Paul Deluxe. Original mini humbucker in the neck and full-size vintage Dimarzio Super Distortion on the bridge. Dark wine red (kind of an ox blood).
I had a 1979 les paul (custom) in high school and have always kind of been nostalgic for another one with the giant volute and boat anchor weight. This is 10 pounds 8 oz according to seller. Not sure if that's brutally heavy seems about average for a Norlin...I've heard of some at 12 pounds.
Always wanted to try a Dimarzio, and looking forward to hearing what the neck mini humbucker sounds like...they are supposed to be a little brighter which I think will sound great considering standard neck Les Paul pickups always seem a little muddy.
Running out of space. It seems a lot harder to get rid of guitars than it does pinball machines!

Never enough Les Pauls, or guitars for that matter! Here’s my 76 LPC in Wine Red w Tim Shaw pu’s and my 07 LPC in Ox Blood. The OB is quite darker. Love them both. I never understood the hate on those 70s LP’s. Congrats on the new one!

Which one is the heaviest? The 76?

Thanks! Yeah, the 76 is the heaviest. But not by much. The blue one comes in 2nd in weight. I play Jr's a bunch too, such a break for my back!
