I'm "down to" 5 dogs. (I used to run a dog rescue out of my house and had 11 of my own, and finally quit after a parvo outbreak contaminated the house and broke my bank account.) We occasionally foster hard-to-place pups, but mine are all rescues with tough backstories and sometimes it's hard for them to be normal enough to deal with new things all the time, so we're taking a dog break for a bit.
BUT... that hasn't seemed to stop me elsewhere. 
I've got a peach front conure, parakeet, English budgie, hamster with the hamster version of Downs, random fish, 4 Easter Egger chickens, 3 Jumbo cotournix quail, 1 pharaoh quail, and 24 cotournix eggs in an incubator going on lock-down tonight so hopefully I'll have some little popcorn-size babies later this week.
