Thanks Robin! This is a home away from home. Hopefully I’ve reduced my meme count to acceptable levels!

Happy Anniversary and huge thank you Robin !

I heard of Pinside back in 2008 but I never visited. I would buy games and they would mention Pinside. It took me another 10 years (2018) until I joined. If I could go back in time.
Thanks Robin and all those who help.

Was on rec.games.pinball starting in the mid-90's, but then didn't discover Pinside until around 2012. I blame the chinchillas for the delay.

    Batman's sidekick

Damn, I was way off. I thought it was Christopher Robin

    Congratulations Robin!
A super impressive milestone and all the best going forward!!

    #19 1 year ago

    Congratulations!

Pinside is really one of the best laid out and organized forums. Thanks to all the mods too. I know it’s thankless work!

Thanks you Robin for creating and maintaining such a great site. Also thanks to the moderating team for everything you do. This is a true labor of love and your effort has paid off for all of us. I joined in 2013 and the innovation on the site site has been impressive. I love pinball but spend 10 times as much time on Pinside as I do actually playing pinball. You have created something special. Congratulations on 20 years. Well done!

I just like that I can have a problem, and know that it probably has been answered on pinside before

    #22 1 year ago

Pinside sure made it a lot easier for pinball enthusiasts to meet other pinball people, talk pinball, get tech help, sell machines, etc.

    Throw-back pic to March 2016.

This was one of the years that Robin and Martijn made it to TPF to hang out with Pinsiders and enjoy a big pinball event.

It is simply the best hobby website on the planet. I really believe that. Great community here.

Happy Birthday! Pinside means a lot to my pinball hobby. Thanks for all the relentless effort put in!

Joined before there was even a forum. Really wasn't much of a site in 2003.

    #29 1 year ago

    Congratulations Robin!

Thanks Robin and all the mods and hamsters working in the background for all that you do for us.

I've got a lot of respect for Pinside from a software perspective. Most forums use a cookie cutter forum engine, but Pinside seems like it's home-grown custom code throughout. And yet, it's the best, most usable, most reliable, best integrated forum and ecosystem that I've ever had the pleasure of using. Pinside quickly became my home forum because it's just such a nice place to be.

Happy anniversary and many more great years to come. Thanks for being there.

    #33 1 year ago

Congratulations on the 20 year milestone Pinside! This is the only social media platform I use and I have met many super cool people through this site.

    Cheers!

    #34 1 year ago

Congratulations, 20 years for a website is quite and accomplishment.
I only wish I had known about Pinside long before I found it.

    #35 1 year ago

Lurking since 2010. Should have joined sooner, or maybe not. Only after joining 7 years ago did my collection explode from 4 to 28 at my max.
20 years and what an amazing site filled with lots of fun smart characters.
    Congratulations Robin!
    Cheers.

20 more years of slapping me on the wrist for announcing thread drains will be awesome!

    Cringe.
Max's 666th post on Pinside is trolling Pinside in the Pinside 20 years celebration thread.

Rec.games.pinball ruled the land for a long time. Many web based forums tried to best rgp. Until Pinside they never caught on. Pinside started with very good forum software and lots of useful features which finally got users (including me) to move over. Even the reasonable monetization strategy seems to be a winner. IMO the hard work and persistence over time of the pinside creators is why the forum succeeded and continues to thrive. Congrats on 20 years to the pinside team!
